Walking down the mountain, Yang Shen could literally feel the fear of the beasts which were nowhere to be found.

What happened to all those b.a.s.t.a.r.ds who made him run for his life?

Was this woman releasing some scent which was scaring them?

Looking towards Lijuan and sniffing a little, Yang Shen shook his head inwardly and rejected his own thoughts.

In that case, was it similar to the two auras his body released?

But… why wasn't he able to sense it?

Not knowing that the huge oppressive pressure Lijuan's body was constantly releasing wasn't affecting him because of the Master-Servant bond he had with her, Yang Shen continued looking at the long black haired beauty every once in a while causing her to think that maybe something was on her face.

"What is it?"

Shaking his head and not saying anything, Yang Shen chose to stop thinking about Lijuan and instead focussed on digesting everything he managed to learn from interrogating the Heaven Devouring Snake.

Though she refused to divulge too much information, Yang Shen did obtain enough to make his own conjectures.

Unlike his expectations, there weren't any 'higher realms'. Instead, it was as if this world was made up of countless planets.

And the so called wastelands were most likely those at the edge of the world, or the farthest away from the core.

As for the Saints, Lijuan remained very tight lipped, but Yang Shen learned that the Saint Realm of cultivation was what followed after the Transcendence Realm.

The exact details though were something he was yet to find out.

No hurry though. He still had a lot of time to reach the Transcendence Realm, much less worry about what came after it.

"Since you're a Saint, what level are you at?"

Rolling his eyes, Yang Shen chose to not comment about her 'devouring' capabilities and instead focused on the 'used to be' part.

Did the lady lose her strength after being sealed for G.o.d knows how long?

'No wonder she is always cursing the monk when I try to find out about how she was sealed.'

Not having much interest in who the monk was, or how he managed to defeat Lijuan before sealing her inside the cave, Yang Shen continued with his attempts to obtain as much information from her as possible.

"You know that this great one can take the both of us wherever you want on this Wasteland in a few minutes, right?"

Nodding his head, Yang Shen understood that this was Lijuan's well mannered way of saying, 'Why the heck are we walking?!'.

"Of course you can. But, it isn't always about reaching the destination as soon as possible. You should learn to savor the journey."

Rolling her mesmerizing golden snake eyes, Lijuan resisted the urge to ask why he was speaking like an elder who was reaching the end of his lifespan.

"To put it in words that you can understand."

"You don't need to…"

Ignoring Lijuan who wanted him to stop, because she knew what kind of an explanation he would give after saying that line, Yang Shen said, "It isn't just about the o.r.g.a.s.m, the time you take to reach it is what makes the s.e.x pleasurable."

"For. The. Last. Time. Snakes aren't the same as Dragons. We aren't s.e.x addicts!"

Enjoying the way Lijuan blushed whenever he said such things, Yang Shen found the woman even more attractive and interesting.

"At least, this great one isn't."

Nodding his head, Yang Shen looked towards the dead Low Grade Profound Beast which resembled a huge pig in front of him.

This was something caught by Lijuan because Yang Shen asked her to.

After all, he no longer wanted to eat those same old boring dry rations. And since he wasn't the one who was hunting, he wouldn't be filled with the urge to do the 'right thing' for his future and sell the dead beast to the system for Points.

"Cook it for me."

"Huh? Cook?"

"Yes. What's wrong with a servant cooking for her master? Make sure it tastes good and is cooked properly."

"Humph! This great one doesn't know how to cook."

Looking towards Lijuan who spoke such words as if she was showing off, Yang Shen couldn't understand what was so great about not knowing how to cook.

At the same time he felt that she seemed similar to the him before he got his a.s.s kicked by that guy from the Hao Clan.

But since she had been sealed for G.o.d knows how long, shouldn't she be more down to Earth and normal than him?

However here she was acting as if the world revolved around her.

"If you don't know how to cook, how did you eat when you went out to hu…"

Even before Yang Shen could finish his words, his eyes turned wide as the beautiful woman who looked like an angel under the moonlight morphed into a huge snake and swallowed the dead beast whole.

Returning to her human form the very next second and wiping her seductive lips with the edge of her sleeve, Lijuan acted like a dignified n.o.ble lady while thinking how Yang Shen knew that she had eaten after he sent her to hunt a beast and bring it back to him.

"You were saying something, Master?"

"..."

Well…. She was at least calling him Master.

Using those words to console his feelings, Yang Shen shook his head and began eating the tasteless dry rations.

Feeling tears welling up inside his eyes not due to the familiar sand like texture inside his mouth, but due to the injustice he felt he was suffering from, Yang Shen looked towards the sky with a wronged look.

Having imagined all sorts of things after finding out that the snake was a beauty, Yang Shen who had been with her for a while could only lament that nothing in his life was going as he hoped it to.

'Why do others get beautiful and h.o.r.n.y companions while I get a snake who only cares about food?! Can't I at least get a perverted companion?!'

Not in a mode to eat the food anymore, Yang Shen put the rations away and moved close to a tree and rested his back on the trunk.
