While Yang Shen spent the rest of the day getting used to his breakthrough, Lijuan's eyes never once left his body.

After all, what she saw in the morning was not normal and could not be explained by her even after she witnessed it with her own eyes.

Feeling his lips twitching as he heard the reply, Yang Shen who remembered waking up to find a huge snake wrapped around his body and its sleeping head right in front of his face hastily shook his head and said, "Doesn't matter! I want to sleep alone!"

"Humph! Making the poor little me sleep all alone in the cold night? Master is so selfish and heartless!"

Rolling his eyes towards Lijuan who was acting like a wife who was thrown away, Yang Shen had to admit that hugging her cold despite being a little weird was not all that bad.

It was completely due to her turning into her snake form during the night which was making him hesitate sleeping with her.

After all, he was just one bad dream away from Lijuan tightening her long body around his own and breaking it into pieces.

s.h.i.+vering in fear as he imagined the huge snake wrapped around his neck and strangling him to death in his sleep, Yang Shen looked warily towards the beauty under the moonlight.

The scent Yang Shen's body gave off was something Lijuan could ignore. But the heat his body emanated due to the Primordial Nine Suns Qi inside him couldn't.

The Heaven Devouring Snake was a snake at the end of the day, and this cold blooded creature was something which loved sunbathing and staying in warm places.

Therefore, the longer Lijuan stayed near Yang Shen, the harder it became to ignore the young man who seemed similar to a walking sun.

Due to this, during one night Lijuan approached the sleeping Yang Shen and hugged him tightly to enjoy a pleasant sleep.

This was something that Yang Shen quite enjoyed as well.

But less than two days after that, Yang Shen woke up to find himself embracing a half human half snake who was wrapping her tail around his waist.

And the very next day, it was a huge Heaven Devouring Snake!

Just imagine how horrifying it would be to wake up and see the head of a snake which was bigger than a hundred feet right in front you.

Yang Shen till day continued to have nightmares of that scene.

This was why even though Lijuan hadn't turned into her complete snake form again since that day, Yang Shen kept on pus.h.i.+ng her away so that such a thing wouldn't happen again.

Still, Lijuan would wait until she was sure that Yang Shen had completely fallen asleep before sneaking close to him and tightly wrapping all of her limbs around him like a koala.

'Sighh… Only half snake today.'

Sighing in relief the very moment he opened his eyes, Yang Shen felt happy that it wasn't a huge snake he woke up to.

Looking towards Lijuan's lower body which by itself was longer than him, Yang Shen stroked the sleeping beauty's head.

Seeing how pleasant and satisfied the woman's face looked while sleeping in his embrace, Yang Shen chose to not wake her up by moving around and continued lying there.

Running his hands across the scales covered tail which was soft and smooth against all expectations, Yang Shen chose to indulge himself in the thoughts regarding what he should do next.

Having entered the Golden Core Realm, Yang Shen understood that it was now time for him to leave.

After all, while he could continue fighting against Low Grade Profound Beasts, he wouldn't be able to improve himself by doing so.

As for Mid Grade Profound Beasts, Yang Shen had zero hope in being able to come out unscathed if he attacked one, much less defeat them.

A Mid Grade Profound Beast was equivalent to a human cultivator in the Nascent Soul Realm.

This meant that not only did they possess Divine Sense, the quality of their Qi was leaps greater than his own.

Therefore, going up against them was the same as suicide for Yang Shen despite how much Qi he had inside him.

In fact, the only reason Yang Shen was able to kill Low Grade Profound Beast until now was due to possessing nine times more Qi than the average cultivator, and his huge burst abilities which allowed him to quickly end the fight.

Unfortunately, neither of them were enough to fight against Mid Grade.

Therefore, it was time to leave the Soul Devouring Mountain.

At the thought of this, Yang Shen suddenly began wondering how long it would take for the people of the Great Cloud Continent to realize that this mountain was normal and could no longer be considered as one of the Forbidden Lands.
