Su Wan stared blankly. Then, she took out her mobile phone with trembling hands and started to dial the emergency number. Just when she was making the call, Li Peng dashed over too. He was so anxious that he couldn’t think properly and wanted to carry Lin Fei’er to Kang Ping Hospital.

Su Wan had no mood to care about Li Peng. She looked anxiously at the intersection and then at Lin Fei’er, who was unconscious and still bleeding. All she could do was to silently pray that the ambulance would arrive quickly.

Time pa.s.sed by the minutes and seconds. Su Wan’s heart seemed to be seized and she felt time pa.s.sed so slowly. She couldn’t hold on any longer.

Luckily, this crossroad was several meters from Kang Ping Hospital. Just a few minutes later, Su Wan heard the siren of an ambulance.

A doctor in a white coat and some nurses jumped down from the ambulance and gave Lin Fei’er some emergency treatment. Then, she was carried onto the ambulance on a stretcher.

Su Wan and Li Peng hopped onto the ambulance immediately. Su Wan had not expected Yang Xiaobing, who had been looking on coldly by the side just a while ago, to want to get onto the ambulance that moment too. Arriving at Kang Ping Hospital, Li Peng signed the operation consent form as the patient’s husband before Lin Fei’er was pushed into the operation theatre.
