Su Wan lowered her head to look at her watch. It was now 8.30 am. If she departed now, she would arrive at Jinjiang at about 9 in the morning.

Why couldn’t the person in charge tell her earlier to fix their meeting time?

Su Wan frowned. Although she was not very happy, work was more important.

Jinjiang commercial building was the second large project Su Wan had taken on after the Beitong project. Su Wan would not cause a great loss for a small profit, so she didn’t want to be too calculative with the person in charge of a trivial matter.

Su Wan took a breath lightly and said calmly, “Alright then, I’ll go over now.”

The girl seemed not to have sensed Su Wan’s displeasure. She answered charmingly, “Alright, I’ll wait for you over there, Ms. Su!”

The girl ended the call.

Su Wan couldn’t make out why Lu Group would send such a girl to be in charge of this project.

Unconsciously, she felt the girl wouldn’t be one who was easy to get along with. After Su Wan told her a.s.sistant, Xiao Zhang, about her itinerary, she hailed a taxi to the construction area of Jinjiang commercial building.

Su Wan and the girl was supposed to meet at Jinjiang Bridge.

The minute she got down from the taxi, she looked around. However, no one was there. Even cars were few. It was desolated.

Su Wan thought she had a good temper, so she leaned her back against the bridge railing and waited.

Suddenly, dark clouds were seen in the sky and very quickly, they covered the sky.

Was it going to rain?

She had left the office too hastily and had forgotten to bring an umbrella with her!

The wind blew past, brus.h.i.+ng on her skin and bringing a chill.

Su Wan curled inward slightly. She took out her mobile phone and discovered that the icon of the weather application on her phone had changed from a cloudy day to a rainy day!

This weather forecast was not reliable! Yesterday, when she looked at it, it showed that today would be a cloudy day!

When she got home, she would uninstall this weather application and install a new one!

After a little while, it started to drizzle. The rain dropped into the river and that moment, the scene was misty.

Feeling distressed, Su Wan frowned. Although the rain was light, she would be drenched sooner or later.

Su Wan sighed, looking at the river, when suddenly, a big black umbrella appeared above Su Wan and covered the sky.

Su Wan saw the black umbrella and immediately turned around in delight. “You’re finally here!”

Lu Qingyu smiled faintly. There was a smile in his evil amorous eyes. “Ms. Su, were you too anxious to come out to see me that you forgot to read the weather forecast?”

Su Wan’s forehead creased and a trace of disgust flashed in her eyes.

“Master Lu, don’t flatter yourself. It’s true that we are collaborating with Lu Group for the Jinjiang project but the person in charge wouldn’t ask you to come personally, would she?”

Upon hearing this, a light flashed through Lu Qingyu’s amorous eyes. He wouldn’t tell Su Wan that he had become more interested in her since the Beitong exhibition.

As Jinjiang project was a collaboration between Di Chen Group and Lu Group, Lu Qingyu couldn’t help paying more attention to this project ever since he knew the person in charge of this project representing Di Chen was Su Wan.

Su Wan saw the teasing smile on Lu Qingyu’s face and glared at him angrily.

Seeing Su Wan really angry, Lu Qingyu laughed. “Su Wan, has anyone ever told you that you look funny when you glare at people?”

When Su Wan heard this, she was calm. She took a deep breath and finally controlled her impulse to smash the doc.u.ments on Lu Qingyu’s face.

Lu Qingyu looked at the rain and caught up to that slender figure in front of him. “Why are you rus.h.i.+ng? The construction site has no legs and won’t run away.”

As he spoke, he graciously tilted his big black umbrella to cover Su Wan.

Su Wan frowned slightly. She looked at the big black umbrella and felt the atmosphere to be bafflingly strange.

If she had a chance to work with Lu Group in the future, Su Wan would definitely find out who would be coming. The feeling of being made fun of was not nice!

After arriving at the construction site, the rain suddenly stopped.

Su Wan and Lu Qingyu slowly checked the construction progress. The foundation of Jinjiang commercial building had been laid but the floor of the building only had a general basic shape.

Su Wan tilted her head up slightly, wanting to look closer but a scream suddenly sounded from behind.

“Su Wan, be careful!”

Su Wan widened her eyes. Before she could respond, she was pushed aside by Lu Qingyu.

Su Wan fell to the ground. She rubbed her knees in pain and was confused as to what had happened.

Suddenly, Su Wan saw a cement brick falling from above and hitting Lu Qingyu!

Lu Qingyu was agile and although he avoided his head from being hit by the brick, his leg was still hit!

Blood spread from Lu Qingyu’s black trousers all of a sudden. Su Wan’s heart thumped wildly. Besides Lin Fei’er’s accident, she had not seen so much blood.

Su Wan quickly calmed down and took out her phone to call the emergency number.
