Su Wan knew Lin Fei’er liked trying out little things and for a period of time, she especially liked to buy perfumes.

By right, Lin Fei’er should like this Secluded Orchid In A Deserted Valley, a limited edition perfume, but why did she look like she had seen a ghost?

Lin Fei’er quickly covered the lid and looked at Su Wan steadily. There was anxiousness in her voice.

“Who gave you this bottle of perfume?”

Su Wan was taken aback. She looked at Jiang Xuecheng, who was standing at the window looking at the scenery, before she answered Lin Fei’er’s question.

There were complicated emotions in the bottom of her eyes as she replied softly, “Do you still remember me telling you about Ms. Sheng An’ning back then?

“Jiang Xuecheng’s childhood friend? The one who looks like you?”

The minute Su Wan’s voice died down, a cold light flashed through Lin Fei’er’s eyes.

Her voice was not loud but Jiang Xuecheng heard what she said. He turned around slowly and looked at Su Wan and Lin Fei’er, unsure of why they had suddenly mentioned his name.

At the thought of how Lin Fei’er described Sheng An’ning, Jiang Xuecheng’s brows knitted and felt he had to explain.

“Ms. Lin, Sheng An’ning was a little sister I grew up with. I hope you don’t misunderstand.”

When Jiang Xuecheng’s low voice entered her ears, a cold smile appeared on Lin Fei’er’s face.

She didn’t believe in brother-sisterhood. Li Peng and Yang Xiaobing was a clear proof.

Of course, Lin Fei’er would not doubt Jiang Xuecheng’s and Su Wan’s relations.h.i.+p. She was Su Wan’s best friend and naturally wished Su Wan would have a smooth sailing love life.

When Jiang Xuecheng heard Lin Fei’er’s question, his face was cloudy and uncertain. He walked towards Su Wan quickly, raised his brows, and asked, “What are they?”

Su Wan was in a trance. She took the gla.s.s perfume bottle from Lin Fei’er. She was not familiar with perfume but knew that musk was an essential ingredient in most of the women’s perfumes.

The large amount might be due to the need of producing this perfume. Was there something complicated about this?

In front of Lin Fei’er, Su Wan liked to be direct. She blinked and voiced out her uncertainties.

“Fei’er, isn’t musk a common ingredient in perfume? What’s the problem?”

Lin Fei’er looked at Su Wan. Her eyes were cold and her pretty face was tight. Her mood was obviously not right.

“In general, perfumes are made with artificial musk and not natural musk.”

When Lin Fei’er saw that Su Wan was still confused, she looked at Jiang Xuecheng. She saw his forehead creased deeply and knew that Jiang Xuecheng understood the main point.

When Lin Fei’er heard Jiang Xuecheng’s explanation, there was a trace of desolation and sadness in her eyes. She was now deprived of the hope of being a mother, hence she paid special attention to such things.

She didn’t want Su Wan to meet with such a bad fate one day.

Su Wan trembled. She gaped and for a moment, didn’t know what to say.

The man’s clear and magnetic voice went into Su Wan’s ears and that moment, it was like rain in winter, sending a chill through Su Wan’s body.

That chill was spreading fast into her limbs and bones.

Feeling lost, she stared at the bluish-purple bottle in her hand. The exquisite gla.s.s bottle reflected the sparkling liquid inside. It was beautiful.

It was such a small bottle. Could it have such terrible side effects?

Su Wan liked the innocent and bright faces of children. As she thought, her hands trembled vigorously and the gla.s.s bottle slipped from her hand towards the ground.

Luckily, Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes and hands were quick and alert. He caught the bottle immediately and prevented it from spilling on the ground.

Jiang Xuecheng looked at the perfume bottle in his hand. A complicated light flashed through his dark eyes that instant.

If what Lin Fei’er said was true, then Sheng An’ning had terrible intentions!

Although Jiang Xuecheng didn’t like Sheng An’ning, he had never thought the girl whom he had grown up with could have such vicious plans.

When Su Wan saw Jiang Xuecheng disappearing from the door, she stared blankly. She lowered her eyes and was deep in thought.

“Fei’er, how were you able to differentiate natural musk and artificial musk?”

Su Wan did not doubt Lin Fei’er’s sincerity toward her. She was merely frightened. She like the smell of Secluded Orchid In A Deserted Valley perfume but if she were to use it, she might be unable to get pregnant in the future…

Su Wan frowned slightly. She turned around and looked steadily at the shut door of the ward.
