On the other side, Jiang Xuecheng had headed for The Church of Santa Fe and had almost arrived at his destination.

According to the wedding custom of S City, the bride would make the final appearance in order to keep it mysterious.

Jiang Xuecheng sat on the co-driver’s seat and the person driving was his good friend of many years and his best man for today’s wedding, Tang Yifeng.

“I can’t believe you asked to have a black Koenigsegg Agera R. I say, you don’t lack money and you’ve been driving this car for many years, don’t you think it isn’t fresh?”

Tang Yifeng had thought that Jiang Xuecheng would pick a new model after his car was sc.r.a.pped in the car accident. Never had he thought that Jiang Xuecheng would get the original manufacturer to produce another one which was exactly the same!

After Tang Yifeng’s teasing words landed in Jiang Xuecheng’s ears, his cold face remained unmoved. He merely said, “I’m used to it.”

Upon hearing this and feeling speechless, Tang Yifeng darted a glance at Jiang Xuecheng.

“It looks like your relations.h.i.+p with Sis Su Wan will be long-lasting? After all, you’re so devoted to a car, so you wouldn’t change your love toward a person, will you?”

Jiang Xuecheng looked up at Tang Yifeng and a faint light flashed through his deep eyes. He replied almost without thinking, “Of course.”

The other day, at Beitong’s development zone, he and Su Wan had written the phrase ‘I’ll spend all the ups and downs with you’ on wish-making paper and threw it up to the matchmaker tree. To him, that was a promise.

He was a person who would never break a promise.

Tang Yifeng huffed and shrugged upon hearing the firm answer from Jiang Xuecheng.

“Alright, I wonder where my luck in love is. I’m not even sure if there will be that someone who’s worthy of my devotion like how Su Wan is worth yours.”

“I think that Lu Xiao is good. Can’t you see that she’s crazy about you?”

Jiang Xuecheng looked at the surrounding cars faintly as he spoke with calmness.

When it came to Lu Xiao’s unrequited love for him, Tang Yifeng had a restrained look and immediately changed the topic of conversation.

“Xuecheng, The Church of Santa Fe is after this traffic light!”

Although it was a street away, looking from far, they could see the magnificent red carpet stretching all the way to the church. Although it was day time, the neon lights on the street had long been lit up.

Red roses could be seen everywhere. Everything in sight seemed to have been enveloped in the joyful atmosphere of the wedding.

The morning sunlight at ten o’clock was warm but not glaring. The reporters who were blocked at a periphery had been there since six in the morning.

These reporters had long been standing here. As a result, they were driven to the corner of the street by the security guards. How upsetting!

Following the cheers of these people, the black Koenigsegg Agera R stopped steadily. Very quickly, the door was opened by a person with long hands.

Jiang Xuecheng’s dressing was quite different from Tang Yifeng’s. He was wearing a dark blue tuxedo with a mandarin-collared s.h.i.+rt. The red bow on the top most part of the s.h.i.+rt made the combination less cold, with a little more joyous feel of a marriage.

The man was still dignified and indifferent. People’s eyes lit up just by him standing there. He was incomparable.

Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes swept across the reporters who were busy taking photos and a light flashed through his eyes.

The reason he chose to have his wedding in S City was not to let the media make a big fuss of his wedding.

He just wanted to present a perfect gift to the woman he loved most in his heart.

Jiang Xuecheng ordered the security guards to keep the order and not allow the media to enter. Then, he walked into The Church of Santa Fe.

When he saw Xie Changfeng looking at the door, the coldness in his eyes subsided. He walked over quickly and nodded politely at Xie Changfeng.

“h.e.l.lo Grandfather, where’s Grandmother?”

When Xie Changfeng saw Jiang Xuecheng, a satisfied smile flashed through his face.

“Your grandmother can’t walk well and I asked her to sit inside. Xuecheng, why isn’t Wan here yet?”

Jiang Xuecheng took out his mobile phone and took a look at the time as he smiled, “She’ll be here in about five minutes. Let’s go out to welcome her?”

Xie Changfeng looked at Jiang Xuecheng and he nodded slowly. His eyes were filled with emotions.

Then, he walked over to Jiang Xuecheng and tapped his shoulders as a senior.

“I like you, Grandson-in-Law. Today, at the wedding, I’ll entrust Wan to you. Wan has lots of shortcomings but she’s definitely a good girl. You mustn’t let her down, okay?”

“I won’t let her down, Grandfather.”

It was a simple sentence but Jiang Xuecheng uttered it solemnly.

Xie Changfeng stared at Jiang Xuecheng’s genuine but firm eyes and smoothed his beard in satisfaction. “Let’s go, let’s welcome Wan.”
