Chapter 327: He Yan is Furious (2)
“You don’t know that the accounts don’t add up?” Grandma Jian asked. She frowned as she asked this.
This was not a trivial matter.
“I… I really don’t know,” He Yan whispered in defense.
“Well then,” Grandma Jian said, “Since you don’t know how to manage the fund properly, your sister-in-law will take over the fund for the time being.”
Whether He Yan knew about it or not, she was responsible for the fund’s accounts. If anything happened, she would be held accountable.
Since she didn’t do a good job, Grandma Jian had a reason to replace her.
“Mother… I…”
He Yan still wanted to fight for herself.
“Let’s stop talking about that matter now,” Grandma Jian said. She didn’t want to hear more of He Yan’s words.
He Yan’s heart immediately sank.
Her mother in law was way too biased!
She didn’t even give her a chance to explain!

The meal at the Old Jian Residence was tasteless. It was as though she was chewing wax.

The only person sitting in the living room was Jian Yunmo. There was a thermos in front of him. He was drinking soup that appeared to come from the thermos.
Jian Yiling took a look at the soup. The soup looked a little strange.
When Jian Yunmo saw Jian Yiling looking at the soup, he quickly explained: “Our mother made this soup. She wants us to drink it. However… You know that our mother can’t cook. And this soup… Ahh, I don’t know how to explain it.”
He paused for a while before he continued again: “However, our father decided to tell her the soup tasted good! He didn’t want to hurt her feelings! And so, our mother brought us the soup… But don’t worry, I will suffer and drink this. You don’t need to try it. Grandma asked someone to make a tonic soup for you. You can drink that one. This one will destroy your taste buds!”
Jian Yiling didn’t believe in Jian Yunmo’s words. And thus, she picked up a spoon to try some.
Then, she hurriedly drank a cup of water.
The soup was indeed strange.
When Jian Yunmo saw that Jian Yiling was sticking her tongue out and desperately drinking water, he laughed and said: “I told you it tasted bad! Did you think that I wasn’t willing to share food with you or something? You dummy!”
“Then why are you drinking it?”
“Well, according to our father, our mother has been at war with these ingredients all morning. She destroyed an entire basket of ingredients. And thus, I had to at least try some.”
Jian Yunmo was telling the truth. He wouldn’t tell such a lie to his sister.
