"I only recognize Yiling as my sister. You're not my sister," Qin Yufan replied as she stubbornly turned her face away. "However, I'm grateful for your visit. Just don't come in the future. I will be able to forget you faster."

"Okay," Jian Yichen replied. "I won't come in the future. Please take care of yourself."

After saying that, Jian Yichen turned around and left the ward.

Everyone else in the ward became silent.

They all knew that Qin Yufan had a stubborn personality. Was she actually giving up on Jian Yichen? Or was she saying these things because she was angry?

Yu Xi left the ward to look for Jian Yichen.

Jian Yichen was standing in the corridor of the hospital. He lit up a cigarette however, he did not smoke it.

"Do you not know how to smoke?"

As they had a little girl in the family, Grandma Jian forbade the men in the Jian family to smoke.

Jian Yichen squeezed the cigarette in his hand. However, he did not place it into his mouth. He merely watched the cigarette burn and turn into ashes.

Yu Xi: "If you have feelings for her, you shouldn't cut her off like that."

Jian Yichen was evidently upset. However, he was trying to act as though he did not care.

"I actually don't like her," Jian Yichen explained. "I don't know what it's like to like someone either."

"Why do you have such thoughts?"

"A long time ago, instead of picking romance, I chose to help my loved ones survive."

"Why are you saying strange things again? Did you drink instead of smoke? And by the looks of it, it seems like you drank a lot."

"Yu Xi, what does it feel like to like someone romantically? Do you want to protect them in the same way you want to protect your family?"

"How do I know? That's something you should go and ask Master Sheng."

"Ah, right."

"Don't act so sad. I feel a little uncomfortable."

Upon hearing this, Jian Yichen began to laugh. He put out the cigarette in his hands and then got up.
