"Yep yep, let's just come here next time," Xing Wei echoed.

Xing Wei and Han Mengyu appeared more nervous than Zhai Yunsheng.

Yu Xi also spoke up: "Well, since he's not at home, it's best for us to come back another time. For today, let's go and play some games."

At this moment, the servant on the other side of the screen spoke up: "Wait for a moment, I will contact Mr. Goodman for you. I'll see if he can make it back."

What was going on?

A few westerners in suits came out.

"h.e.l.lo Miss Jian, Mr. Goodman is currently not at home. We just contacted him. He will arrive in about fifteen minutes. If you don't mind, please wait inside for a while."

"Okay," Jian Yiling replied.

When Han Mengyu, Xing Wei, and Yu Xi heard this, they became completely dumbfounded.

The Goodman family's att.i.tude was way too nice, right?

Han Mengyu whispered to Zhai Yunsheng: "Master Sheng, what's going on here?"

"I don't know," Zhai Yunsheng replied. There was a playful smile on his face.

"Is this just a good tradition of the Goodman family? Or are we just lucky to be here today?" Xing Wei asked with a baffled expression on his face.

"Maybe common sense doesn't apply here. After all, this is the Goodman family. It's a rich and influential family recognized by everyone across the world."

"Well, either way, our sister-in-law's face is saved."

Han Mengyu was just glad that Jian Yiling was not upset.

After entering the Goodman Residence, the five of them sat in the living room for roughly ten minutes.

After that, they met Mr. George Goodman.

He was an old man in his seventies.

George had a medium build that was not fat nor thin.

Despite his age, he had well-defined facial features.

George briefly swept his eyes over the five of them. Finally, he focused his attention on Jian Yiling.

"Miss Jian, did you come here to speak to me about something?"

"They want to speak to you," Jian Yiling replied.

Only then did George redirect his attention to Zhai Yunsheng and the others.

Han Mengyu was a little unsure of how to respond.

George Goodman was a little too approachable, right?
