After the recording, Xia Meilin went to pick up her son. Arriving at the school, she saw Little Melon trying to talk with a girl.

The cute girl looked like she was in the same age as Little Melon. She was wearing a dress with a flower print on it. Her hair was tied into cute pigtails and her eyes were big and round. The only thing that caught Xia Meilin's attention was the blank look that the little girl has on her adorable doll-like face.

"Mello knows how to play piano too. Momma said that Mello is really good! Mello can play for you!"

When Xia Meilin heard what Little Melon said, she was able to tell that her son was trying to impress the little girl.

The little girl didn't even take a glance at Little Melon, she was ignoring him. Instead, she jogged towards her father when she saw him by the school's gate.

"Xiao Yao..." Little Melon sulked when he saw how the little girl ignored him again.

Xia Meilin stared at the man who picked the little girl, for some reason, she finds him familiar. She was sure that she saw that man recently.

The man looked back at Xia Meilin, his eyes were cold and something feels weird with the way he was looking at her. He turned away and entered a black car.

"Momma."

Xia Meilin turned to Little Melon when she heard his call. She smiled at him and offered her hand to him. "Let's go?"

Little Melon nodded. He held his mother's hand and walked towards their Maybach car. He was quiet and he didn't speak a word until he entered the car with Xia Meilin.

"So, who's that pretty little girl, baby?" Xia Meilin couldn't help but ask out of curiosity.

"Xiao Yao's name is Yang Xiao Yao. She's a new student." He raised his head and looked at her. "She's really pretty, momma."

"Yes, she is." She chuckled as she stared back at her son.

"Mello wants to be friends with Xiao Yao." He lowered his head. He was fumbling with his fingers, his ears becoming red. "Xiao Yao is really pretty."

"You said that earlier."

"But she's really pretty, momma." Little Melon said as he turned to her, his eyes sparkling. Just like Lu Yifeng's eyes, Little Melon's eyes look like they have a galaxy inside.

"That's the third time you said it." She grinned at her as she pinched his soft cheeks lightly.

"Mommmaaa!" He pouted his lips since his mother looks like she wasn't taking him seriously.

"You like her, don't you?"

Before Little Melon can answer her, he was interrupted by Dong Hua. "Madam, we're being followed." He suddenly said, he took a glance at the rearview mirror before he continued looking straight on the road.

Xia Meilin turned to him as her face instantly became serious. Someone's trying to target them again? How many times has this happened already?

"How far are we from our home?" Xia Meilin asked as she turned back to Dong Hua.

"We are ten kilometers away. Should I drive around and confuse them?"

"Momma, what's happening?" Little Melon asked as he looked at her.

Xia Meilin pulled her son in her arms before she stroked his hair gently. "Nothing, sweetheart. We're going home."

She turned to Dong Hua. "Drive directly to our villa. Once we reach there, they won't be able to follow us inside. Our place is heavily guarded and those outsiders won't be able to enter it so easily." Xia Meilin said calmly. "To mess with the Lu family in broad daylight, they're asking for a death wish."

Little Melon wasn't dumb, just by listening to his mother's words, he knows that something wrong happening. He pursed his lips as he watched his mother. "Momma?"

She kissed the top of his head and smile. "Everything will be alright. Trust me, okay?"

Little Melon nodded. He hugged his mother close, believing her words.

Xia Meilin took her phone out and send a message to Li Bingbing, asking her to check the surveillance camera on the street they were in.

Her phone started ringing after a few minutes. It was a call from Li Bingbing. "According to from the car's plate number, the owner of the car is named Lin Yiyang."

Xia Meilin furrowed her brows. "Lin Yiyang?"

"Yes. He's the only member of the Lin family that's remaining. According to here, he's been living in Europe for quite some time." Li Bingbing reported.

"Lin Qingge's uncle... what does he want now? Doesn't he know who he is going against?" When their car entered the villa's gate, Xia Meilin couldn't help but sigh in relief.

"He's starting his business here and... I think he's here to scheme something against you. Ever since the Lin family business became bankrupt, Sisi has taken over it."

"So he's here to take it back? Then why come to me instead of going to my brother?"

"The only people who can convince Sisi is you and your grandparents. You're his best shot, at least that's what I think."

After the call ended, the car stopped in front of the mansion. Xia Meilin and Little Melon went out of the car. They entered the mansion and Mo Jing went to bring Little Melon to his room.

Meanwhile, Xia Meilin went to her room, when she entered, she didn't see Lu Yifeng in so she decided to go to his study room instead. Just like what she expected, she saw him working on some doc.u.ments on his desk. "I'm home."

Lu Yifeng raised his head and smiled upon seeing her. "Welcome home."

Xia Meilin walked towards him, she went and hugged him from behind, "Mr. Lu, how many times do I have to tell you to rest? Don't you get headaches when you read such files?"

He placed the paper he was reading on his desk. He held her arm and made her go to his side. He let her sit on his lap before he bows his head and captured her lips.

Although, just before their kiss can become intense, they were interrupted by a knock from outside.

Xia Meilin pulled away from the kiss. Her face bright red. She straightened her blouse before she turns to the door and said, "Come in."

A maid entered the room, her head was hanging low in respect. "Master, Madam, someone is by the gate. The man said that his name is Lin Yiyang, he wants to see Madam."

Xia Meilin's face darkened at what she said. So he really wanted to meet her?

Lu Yifeng noticed the look on Xia Meilin's face. Lin Yiyang? His name sounds familiar. Lu Yifeng was sure that he heard that name somewhere... in his previous life.
