When the people around the party saw Lu Yifeng and Kang Lin standing together, they couldn't help but admire them since they looked good with each other!

"She's busy."

Lu Yifeng didn't say anything, he was just staring on his gla.s.s of wine while swirling it a bit. It was obvious that he was thinking of something else.

"And here I thought if I invite you, I will be able to finally see her." She pursed her lips, making her look more alluring. "I've always dreamed of having an autograph from Mrs. Lu. It would be nice if you have given me her autograph as a gift instead."

Lu Yifeng's phone started ringing and when he saw it, it was a call from his mother. "Excuse me." He turned away to answer the call.

Kang Lin's eyes darkened when Lu's Yifeng faced his back on her. She was trying to make a conversation with Lu Yifeng by using his wife to get on his good side and yet... he keeps on looking uninterested at her.

She clenched her fists tight as she continued staring at his back. She never imagined that befriending Lu Yifeng was harder than she thought. Though no matter how hard it is, the desire to steal Lu Yifeng away from Xia Meilin was certain!

"h.e.l.lo, mother?"

"Dada, it's not Mami! It's Mello on the phone!"

Lu Yifeng's eyes softened when he heard his son's lively voice. He walked towards the balcony for a quieter place. "It's late, why are you still awake?"

"It's because Mello misses you! Dada, when are you going home? When are we going to see momma?"

After spending the Christmas in Milan with Nian Jiezhen's mother, Xia Meilin moved to the Villa that Lu Yifeng bought in Sicily. It was near the seaside and the view was so exquisite. The Villa was guarded well by the men that Lu Yifeng a.s.signed and the servants working in the place were one of the well-trained servants in the Lu residence.

Every day, Lu Yifeng would always call her to check on her and to rea.s.sure her that everything was well on his side.

Yong Biqi was a very patient person, she wasn't making her move yet and because of this, Lu Yifeng couldn't do anything but to wait. Lu Yifeng knew that if he made one wrong move, Yong Biqi will be able to know where Xia Meilin was and because of this, he couldn't leave the country to be with his wife.

It was until Xia Meilin stopped receiving calls from her husband in the middle of March that made her become worried.

She tried calling him but no one was answering his phone.

"Uncle Dong Hua, give me your phone." Xia Meilin was inside the mansion's library, sitting on a couch.

Dong Hua, Xia Meilin's personal butler and bodyguard handed her his phone when she asked for it.

Xia Meilin used Dong Hua's phone to call Mo Jing, her call went through this time.

"h.e.l.lo?"

"Auntie Mo Jing, is Lu Yifeng at home?"

The instant Mo Jing heard Xia Meilin's voice, she ended the call and because of this, Xia Meilin couldn't help but wonder on what was happening.

She turned to Dong Hua, "Do you have any ideas on what's happening in our place?"

"This old man doesn't know anything, Madam." Dong Hua said honestly.

Just then, a maid approached her. "Madam, someone is looking for you, a man named Yong Wei Qing."

She blinked a few times when she heard her uncle's name. How did he found out that she was in Italy? Xia Meilin turned to Dong Hua worriedly.

"I will go see him myself, madam." Dong Hua smiled. "Zhao Junxu and Guo Boyun are guarding the room so rest a.s.sure that no harm will come to you."

Xia Meilin nodded in agreement with what he said. She watched Dong Hua leave the room. After almost fifteen minutes, the room's door went open again.

It wasn't Dong Hua who entered the room but it was... Little Melon.

"Momma!"

Xia Meilin's eyes went wide in surprise when she saw him. "Xiao Gua..."

Dong Hua, Yong Wei Qing, and Yong Xiao Yao entered the room soon after.

"I missed you so much, momma!" Little Melon hugged his mother close and in return, Xia Meilin hugged her son back. She was on the verge of crying when she hugged him!
