Under the summer sun, the brilliant rays shone down to everyone on the beach. Waves ahead roared and roll down, cras.h.i.+ng unto the sh.o.r.e with a soft hiss. Voices and laughter were heard. Old and young enjoyed the summer breeze that blew across them.

A woman, wearing a white dress, holding an umbrella, was walking by the seaside. The cool water lapped at her feet, fizzling and bubbling like brine.

She stopped and looked at the beautiful blue sea before her. She has always loved the view in front of her ever since they started living in that town. Such peacefulness was what she has always wanted.

"Mom!" A girl's voice was heard.

Xia Meilin turned and saw her two daughters, in their swimsuits, one was running towards her while the other was walking beside a man, their father.

"Look! I found a big sh.e.l.l!" Lu Weichun happily exclaimed, showing the white sh.e.l.l she was holding to her with a proud look on her face.

"There's more!" Lu Weichun was holding a bucket filled with sh.e.l.ls. She turned to her twin sister and grinned as she enthusiastically said, "Let's build a sandcastle and design them with these sh.e.l.ls!"

Lu Xingyan chuckled lightly, "We should eat first, Jiejie1. I thought you're hungry?"

"Is Gege1 back already?" Her older sister asked, blinking a few times.

"He should be."

The girls turned to look at the direction where their big brother went earlier.

Just like Lu Xingyan said, they saw Lu Mello, walking back to the hut they rented.

Xia Meilin let out a helpless smile as she turned to her husband to which he responded by smiling back at her.

Lu Yifeng reached out and held his wife by her waist, "Let's go."

Their lively daughter rushed back to her brother while the quiet one followed behind her.

"Look at them." Xia Meilin chuckled, "They're so lively."

Lu Yifeng smiled and replied, "Yeah."

"I missed having them around."

Ever since the girls went to boarding school, the house became quiet. Lu Mello is already in college and was living away from them. He would only visit them whenever he had time.

Meanwhile, the twins were studying at an all-girls high school and because of the distance of the school from their place, they had to live in a dorm.

"Honey, should we make another one?" Xia Meilin asked with a grin plastered on her lips.

"No." Ever since he witnessed the hards.h.i.+p of giving birth, he didn't want to make her pregnant again. Aside from that, he also didn't want her attention to be divided.

It took him a while to kick out the children, now that he has his wife all to himself, he was not going to share her even to their kids.

Xia Meilin pouted, "Come on now. It's so boring in the house."

"Then be my secretary again." He looked at her with a handsome smirk plastered on his lips.

Xia Meilin ended up blus.h.i.+ng when she saw his s.e.xy smirk.

The last time she became his secretary, it didn't go well especially when Lu Yifeng ended up getting distracted from his work. He would take advantage of her every chance he could get.

"No way. I'm not falling for that trap." She huffed, crossing her arms as she looked ahead.

"Didn't you enjoyed being my secretary?" He asked before placing a kiss on her temple.

"You're not getting anything done you know."

"I'm not?" He blinked a few times. "I thought I was. Your performance and skills a.n.a.lysis is my favorite thing to do… especially in the Boardroom."

His wife's face became red, at its darkest shade. "Mr. Lu!"

He chuckled lightly, "Yes, Mrs. Lu?"

She pursed her lips and huffed, "Behave yourself!"

It's amazing how the spice in their relations.h.i.+p was still there despite being married for years. Especially Lu Yifeng. He was older than her by four years and despite being in his forties, the man's flirtations towards his wife were endless.

Is this going to go on until they grow old?

Xia Meilin didn't actually dislike that part of him, in fact, she was happy to know that even if they were getting old together Lu Yifeng wasn't getting tired of her.

They have gone through so many things together and each problem would only bring them together, stronger than before.

It takes two to keep a relations.h.i.+p running and she was thankful that neither of them was giving up.

"Ugh, mom and dad are at it again." Lu Weichun pouted as she watched their parents act all sweet. "I want to have a boyfriend to- Oww!!"

She turned to her brother who flicked her forehead. She glared at him as she covered her forehead. "What's that for?"

"You're not allowed to have a boyfriend until you finish your studies."He turned to his other sister, "Is she seeing someone out?"

Lu Xingyan is known to be a behave and obedient girl to her parents. Her father trusted her a lot especially when it came to her sister. Her brother was the same too. In other words, Lu Xingyan is her father and brother's eyes and ears when it came to their sister.

Lu Weichun nervously turned to her twin before she quickly denied, "I'm not seeing anyone! We're studying in an all-girls school, how can I possible date someone-"

"I heard that Sheena Gale is having a concert next month." Her brother interrupted, still looking at his youngest sister. "I already bought a ticket in advance for you."

Of course, Lu Xingyan wasn't going to say anything without being bribed by others. Lu Mello knew that well.

"She's been going on blind dates." Lu Xingyan said with a blank look on her face as she reached out for the container of sliced watermelon.

A loud gasp was heard from Lu Weichun, "You traitor!"

"What do you mean blind dates?"

Lu Weichun felt a chill behind her. She slowly turned and saw their strict father, walking towards them with their mother.

Ah s.h.i.+t. She's so dead!

She glared at her younger sister as if blaming her that it was all her fault.

"Since we're not allowed to date boys, that means we're allowed to date girls, right?" Lu Xingyan calmly said before taking a bite on the piece of watermelon.
