Jiang Yuan stared blankly at Lu Mingshu for a moment, before bursting out into laughter. She seemed less serious now too.

“Do you think I’ll help you if you anger me?” she asked unenthusiastically. “Whatever, with your ability, I can’t get much out of you even if I torture you. After this debate, we will part ways anyway so it’s no longer my problem.”

After this, she went back into the hold.

Lu Mingshu looked at Yan Wugui weirdly at the sudden change of Jiang Yuan’s mood. But Yan Wugui just shook his head and sat back down at the bow. “Go and rest. It’s my turn now.”

She nodded and went into the hold.

Jiang Yuan was leaning against the wall, staring into s.p.a.ce instead of meditating, sleeping, or even talking to Lu Mingshu.

When the sun rose up, the trio was standing side by side on the bow, and they could already see the island vaguely. There were only a few boats in front of them that were das.h.i.+ng toward the island.

“Are we late or early?” Yan Wugui asked.

Jiang Yuan looked over at him and said nothing.

Obviously early. How would the provided boats function better than a boat that the aristocratic families prepared?

To this kind of boat, which was designed like a speedboat, a mile was only a blink of an eye for them, which meant that they had not gotten any rest since they killed the first one.

No matter how slow someone was, they would have realized that something was wrong by now.

“This route is a wrong one?” Yan Wugui asked.

Jiang Yuan hummed in response but said nothing more.

After killing this beast, the four of them learned their lesson. They stopped in their tracks to get a rest first.

But even so, another beast came up to attack them soon after.

After observing for a while Lu Mingshu suddenly said, “If we want to get through here safely, there must be a special path, right?”

Jiang Yuan raised her eyebrows and looked at Lu Mingshu weirdly.

“I don’t feel anything, which is enough to prove that the beasts are all hiding, waiting for someone to step into the trap.”
