Chapter 1255: s.n.a.t.c.hing Soul Weapons!

Seeing Xia Fei, Furball and Little Goldie came pouncing over. They had seen Xia Fei get swallowed up by the ground just now, and the two had panicked instantly.

Xia Fei took the white sc.r.a.p of cloth from Little Goldie’s mouth and examined it closely. He then asked Radix, “Do you see anything?”

“The texture seems to be very strange, almost as if its gradually weakening,” Radix gasped.

Xia Fei nodded and did not say another word. Over the course of several minutes, the white sc.r.a.p of cloth turned into very ordinary fibers, and with a light rub from Xia Fei’s hands, it was turned into dust.

This was hard armor, which would feel very uncomfortable when worn, especially for a speedster like Xia Fei.

However, Flying Eagleplume had amazingly high defensive strength, and it was better to wear it and sacrifice some speed and comfort if it meant greater survivability when facing off against powerful foes.

Most likely this Flying Eagleplume was one of the war armors that the Broken Wing Sky Devil had used. The historical records had very clearly stated that the Broken Wing Sky Devil Paletooth was a speedster; but as for just how fast he really was, it seemed that was an answer only people who had seen him in person knew.

An expert speedster would not normally wear hard armor; if that was what Paletooth had done, so too should Xua Fei!

There was originally a trace of broken wings behind Flying Eagleplume, but those traces disappeared when Xia Fei donned it himself. There were too many miraculous things pertaining to the Four Great Sky Devils. Xia Fei could not make sense of them, and he could not be bothered to spend more time trying to figure them out.

“Are you ready? There’s still an Evil Shadow Dragoon waiting for us outside,” Xia Fei said with a smile.

Immediately, Furball and Little Goldie let loose roars in unison. Ever since they had fought their way into the Broken Wing Sky Devil’s tomb, these two had been choked with resentment. They were planning to find someone to beat up, and neither of them cared that they would be taking on a Dragoon or not!

Peac.o.c.k Blue had already half-recovered and was like a huge octopus, using its tentacles to tear apart the Sky Devil Tomb!

Ling Boyu, who had been bored waiting for Xia Fei to come out, was immensely shocked. He had considered the possibility of Xia Fei getting out, but never had he imagined it would be in such a startling fas.h.i.+on!

Xia Fei landed on the ground and continued forward. He completely ignored the destruction of the Broken Wing Sky Devil’s Tomb. Furball had always been one to hold a grudge, and he felt that being trapped underground had been a very embarra.s.sing matter. He had dragged Little Goldie along to ruin the Broken Wing Sky Devil’s Tomb!

Little Goldie had always been a little on the dull side, so he was most obedient toward Furball, aside from Xia Fei. These two worked together right away, intent on bringing down the Sky Devil’s Tomb!

A chunk of the head of a great stone sculpture of the Broken Wing Sky Devil flew across the sky, before finally landing at the feet of Ling Boyu. He stared at Sky Devil’s head for several seconds before yelling, “You… You’ve ruined the Sky Devil Tomb?!”

Xia Fei nodded nonchalantly, “That’s right, I did.”

The eyes behind Ling Boyu’s mask glared at Xia Fei, like he was looking at a monster.

Countless Annihilators had died or gone insane when trespa.s.sing in the Sky Devil Cenotaphs years back. Not only had Xia Fei gotten out of the place completely intact, he had even destroyed the Sky Devil Tomb!

This was not simply insane in Ling Boyu’s eyes, but downright perverse!

Speaking of which, Xia Fei had actually been wronged here; though he had used a fairly violent method to get out of the Tomb, he did not order Furball to destroy the place. It was completely done by Furball being too vengeful, and he had done it of his own volition.

But Furball was Xia Fei’s exclusive Holy Beast. Added to the unreasonable att.i.tude that Xia Fei had, of course the place would be devastated! Xia Fei had taken the burden of it all!

Ling Boyu took a step back, his eyes erratic.

All of a sudden, a soul weapon appeared in his hand. It was nothing too huge, but it was as quick as lightning!

This flash was but an instant, and Xia Fei ought to be able to evade it with just his Crafty Approach and speed, but he had an idea. He proceeded to do something really crazy: Not only did he not evade the attack, he instead puffed out his chest and took the brunt of it, letting that flash of light strike his chest.

A crisp sound rang out, and Xia Fei was still standing there, his back straight, wearing a slight smile on his face. An Annihilator-grade weapon had struck him, yet he remained completely uninjured!

This greatly unsettled Ling Boyu! He was breaking out in cold sweat behind his mask.

He watched Xia Fei lift a hand, raising a rhombus-shaped soul weapon that resembled a lotus seed. He smirked, “Nice. An Annihilator-grade soul weapon? Thanks.”

Ling Boyu’s eyes widened as he barked out in anger, “That’s my Dark Sorrow Black Sleeve Lotus!”

Ling Boyu was cursing Xia Fei’s ancestors when the latter managed to block his attack just now, but he never imagined that Xia Fei would be so quick as to s.n.a.t.c.h a soul weapon off him in the time that Flying Eagleplume repelled his attack!

“Oh, so this thing is called Dark Sorrow Black Sleeve Lotus. Not bad, not bad indeed,” Xia Fei continued to muse.

With that, Xia Fei seized that moment when Ling Boyu was startled to come das.h.i.+ng right over. He even had Fiend Lock form a half moon in the air, and stabbed the Fiendish Blade Nirvana right at Ling Boyu’s chest. It was a frontal a.s.sault!

Ling Boyu lived up to his reputation as an Annihilator-grade expert. Dropping into a crouch, he pulled out that sword with a myriad of transformations again!

Forward, back, left, and right! This soul sword attacked from every possible angle!

Facing an attack with an attack of his own!

As an expert, he knew that Xia Fei would surely hide a secret technique when he attacked, so he decided to match the attack in an effort to force Xia Fei to retreat!

Xia Fei used these two moves at the same time as he sped over. Crafty Approach aided Xia Fei in evading the attack, while Origin of Heaven helped Xia Fei search for something.

“Right there!” Xia Fei bellowed. He leaped up high and took the attack coming right at him!

“Got him!” Ling Boyu shouted. his hands clenched tightly. For some unknown reason, though Xia Fei clearly just had a six-sided Soul Mark, he felt happier having successfully struck him than after stabbing an Annihilator-tier warrior.

But his happiness soon turned into mortification!

Xia Fei once more fell from mid-air without a scratch, and now he had another Annihilator grade soul weapon in his hand! It turned out that he had used Origin of Heaven to find which soul weapon was real, all for the sake of s.n.a.t.c.hing away the phantasmic soul sword from Ling Boyu!

“A soul sword that has the phantasmic realization trait. As an Evil Shadow Dragoon, you’ve got far more fun toys than yours truly,” Xia Fei smirked as he made an off-handed remark.

“Just how are you doing this?! Why is my Betwixt Floraumbra unable to hurt you?!” Ling Boyu shouted hoa.r.s.ely, almost as if he was on the verge of a mental breakdown.

As an Annihilator-tier expert, and an esteemed Dragoon, to boot! To let Xia Fei steal his soul weapons twice was utterly humiliating to Ling Boyu!

A warrior going up against a warrior weaker than them, unable to guard their own soul weapon? It was far too embarra.s.sing! Absolutely mortifying!

“Betwixt Floraumbra?” Xia Fei flourished the long and slender soul sword. “It moves like a shadow, inescapable, flitting in between vegetation. The name is rather poetic.”

Changing the topic, Xia Fei tapped Ling Boyu with Betwixt Floraumbra lightly . The tip gave off a low hum and Xia Fei said, “This soul sword has a great name. It shall belong to me from today onward!”

Only half a day had pa.s.sed! When Xia Fei first entered the Broken Wing Sky Devil’s Tomb, the younger man was not his match, but he was now just being toyed around with Xia Fei after getting out!

Even Xia Fei himself had no idea just how many weapons he had stored in his spatial ring Peak Rainbow. All he knew was that whenever he was in a pinch, he would always be able to pull out a treasure and deal a fatal blow to his enemies.

Ling Boyu also had another habit, and that was his penchant to bully others due to how many more high-grade weapons he had in his possession.
