After the two servants left, Yu Wuhen got up, grabbed Chu Qingchuan’s hand and walked over to the railings on the other side of the curtain.

As they watched over the flawless scenery all around them, Yu Wuhen’s gaze suddenly became sullen. “My father built this place for my mother. When my mother gave birth to me twenty-eight years ago… my father was so happy that he ordered men to buy this land. Then, he spent countless amounts of money, planting loti, willow trees, plum blossoms, and my mother’s favorite – lilies,” he explained flatly.

“Lilies? Your mother likes lilies too?” Chu Qingchuan was a little shocked. She also really liked lilies.

Yu Wuhen flashed Chu Qingchuan a charming smile and said, “Yes, my mother also really likes lilies. My mother said they’re refres.h.i.+ng, elegant, and cla.s.sy, yet not pretentious. You’ll remember it for life after just one glance.”
