Inferno Monk didn’t know much of what was going on and he seemed intent on asking. Lin Jin had to keep sending him hand signals. At times, it was better to stay silent and avoid unintentionally exposing one’s weakness.

After learning all this, Lin Jin finally breathed a long sigh of relief.

Due to his carelessness, he had unintentionally revealed something. It didn’t matter though, as he could reason his way out.

Responding with a casual smile, he answered, “How attentive you are, Yan Shenjun. It’s nothing really. I’m impressed that you’re willing to go to such great lengths to achieve something. However, what if it ends up in the hands of another, or what if the final goal isn’t exactly what you imagined? Wouldn’t it be so tragic? That’s why I’m sighing for your sake.”

Sure enough, this pa.s.sive aggressive answer made Yan Shenjun’s expression falter.

Although Lin Jin words were offensive, he had already said it. Yan Shenjun was annoyed, but the greater his rage, the more he had to stop himself from las.h.i.+ng out.
