Chapter 123: Burial Mound, My G.o.d, Too Scary

As soon as Chen Bing finished speaking, Lu Chengfu, Qi Hao, and Jian Chongying’s faces changed drastically, and they stared vigilantly at the two people in front of them.

Ever since the woman in front of them selfishly caused Jiang Meng’s death, the three of them didn’t dare treat her like an ordinary woman. As for Si Yinghua, the two of them had come in with similar expressions; who knew what kind of agreement the two of them had reached in private?

Qi Hao and Lu Chengfu were still a little soft-hearted when they looked at Si Yinghua, but Jian Chongying stared at him even more vigilantly instead.

If everyone here could die, what feelings were there to talk about?

Si Yinghua suddenly spoke up. “Chengfu, I’ve always thought of us as good brothers.”

Lu Chengfu had originally gotten another talisman from Haozi and had thought about giving it to Si Yinghua. However, Si Yinghua was deliberately raising the matter of them being good comrades at this time. Lu Chengfu wasn’t stupid, and Si Yinghua’s motive was self-evident.

Jian Chongying was afraid that Lu Chengfu would really stupidly give the talisman to Si Yinghua and expose Haozi. He guessed that Si Yinghua and the woman in front of them probably didn’t know that the talisman in Lu Chengfu’s hand was from Haozi.

After all, when Haozi had distributed the talismans outside the cave, Si Yinghua had only been thinking about picking up girls, and didn’t pay attention to their movements. As long as he thought about it, however, he could guess the truth.

Just as they were at a deadlock, the spine-chilling sound of a blade dragging over the ground rang out again.

Everyone’s faces changed drastically and they looked over vigilantly, only to see a familiar figure staggering in from outside, scared witless. He tripped a few times in fear and ate a mouthful of mud.

Upon seeing them, his eyes lit up as if he had seen his savior and he yelled anxiously, “Too scary, too scary! Haozi, Chongying, there’s a monster out there!”

When everyone saw his features clearly, who else could it be but w.a.n.g Xuewen, whose face was a mess of tears and snot, and who was scared out of his mind as he questioned his life?

As soon as they saw w.a.n.g Xuewen, everyone’s faces changed and fear flashed in their eyes as they retreated in unison. Si Yinghua and Chen Bing planned to run away at any time, but it was just that they had failed to obtain the talisman, so were unwilling to do so.

As for w.a.n.g Xuewen, the impression he had given them was just too “deep.”

Qi Hao was so scared that he threw a talisman directly at w.a.n.g Xuewen, but when it hit w.a.n.g Xuewen, it was completely useless.

w.a.n.g Xuewen was originally terrified by that ghost thing outside, and when he finally found the group, he thought he could breathe a sigh of relief. Who would have known that Qi Hao would throw a talisman directly in his face? Aggrieved, w.a.n.g Xuewen said to Qi Hao, Jian Chongying and the others, “Haozi, what are you doing? I’m human; the ones outside are the monsters!”

They still didn’t believe w.a.n.g Xuewen; seeing him was like watching him chop up Sun Jiezhen and Jiang Meng into pieces.

Chills ran down everyone’s spines, and it was Lu Chengfu who suddenly pulled at Qi Hao and Jian Chongying and whispered, “He’s w.a.n.g Xuewen now; the talisman in my hand isn’t burning hot!”

Qi Hao and Jian Chongying: …

w.a.n.g Xuewen didn’t know that the others were looking at him warily. Thinking of the ghastly thing he had just encountered, w.a.n.g Xuewen continued to choke with sobs, afraid that they wouldn’t believe him. “That ghastly thing is too scary, too scary! It’s really too scary!”

After listening to w.a.n.g Xuewen’s description of “scary,” everyone was at a loss for words.

While no one was paying attention, Si Yinghua suddenly picked up the talisman from the ground, stuffed it into his pocket, and ran away. By then, the sound of the blade was already outside the door of the secret room.

The ghastly thing no longer looked like a malicious w.a.n.g Xuewen. Its body was a human skeleton while there were a total of three heads squeezed on top of it, and the ones on the left and right of the human skull clearly belonged to Jiang Meng and Sun Jiezhen.

Half of Jiang Meng’s head was gone and the other half was stuck to the human skull. It trembled slightly, as if it would fall off at any moment. It was terrifying!

Both faces stared at them with malicious and eerie smiles.

This was simply hundreds of times more terrifying than w.a.n.g Xuewen’s ghastly and malevolent appearance just now. Chen Bing was so scared that her face turned deathly pale. Qi Hao, Jian Chongying, and Lu Chengfu weren’t any better, and they almost wet their pants in fright.

w.a.n.g Xuewen’s expression was even more exaggerated. “Holy mother, what kind of monster is this? What the h.e.l.l kind of place is this?!”

Jian Chongying shouted at them, “Run!”
