As he went through the email, he asked the a.s.sistant without even raising his head. “Where there’s a will there’s a way. Make arrangements with Mr. Qi. I want to speak to him.”

The a.s.sistant noticed that Wei Yong did not seem as angry as expected about the patent problem and could not help feeling puzzled. Since Wei Yong was busy working on the computer, the a.s.sistant did not continue probing and simply acknowledged his boss.

President Xue brought Min Yu to his office, poured him a gla.s.s of water, and produced a piece of paper. “Here are the plans for the submarine. Can you take a look at it?”

Min Yu put down the gla.s.s and opened the submarine plans. He glanced at it briefly before he remarked. “Some areas can be improved. The old version is not powerful enough to do what you need.”

President Xue nodded. “I think so too. This is your expertise, so I hope you can help. Take the plans back and make annotations for improvement on the side.”
