Yuan Huan looked out of the car window once more with something on his mind just as he was turning. He finally pressed a b.u.t.ton and closed the car window when he was no longer able to see the car in his rearview mirror.

Huo Yao placed her hand on her knee and tapped gently. She kept looking out of the car window and did not react when she saw Yuan Huan.

Min Yu failed to notice Yuan Huan. He simply raised his head, glanced at Huo Yao, and said, “I have work tonight, so I am sending you straight home.”

Huo Yao finally moved her eyes and closed the car window. She nodded. “Sure thing. It’s fine.”

Min Yu acknowledged gently.

Before long, his phone rang. He glanced at the caller ID, put on his earphones, and answered the phone.

Yang Yi had called. The moment Min Yu answered the phone, he asked. “Yu, is Miss Huo with you now?”

“Uh huh.” Min Yu was dressed in a light-colored outfit today which deeply accentuated his cool aura. “What is it? Just tell me straight.”

“Director Min is having trouble with the internet, but I can’t fix it. I was wondering if Miss Huo could check it out and help. I tried texting her, but she didn’t reply,” answered Yang Yi quickly.

Min Yu paused before he said, “I will ask her.”

He raised his head and glanced at Huo Yao. “Yao, are you free tonight?”

The moment Huo Yao heard Min Yu calling her “Yao” in a husky voice, she went into a brief daze. After snapping out of her surprise, she looked at Min Yu and nodded. “… I think so.”

Min Yu said to Yang Yi over the phone, “Be there in 40 minutes.”

Yang Yi happily acknowledged him before hanging up the phone.

Min Yu removed his earphones and threw them aside. “Can you help me?”

He had already signaled to turn as he spoke and was already on the way to the Ministry of National Security.

Huo Yao glanced at Min Yu. He clearly did not intend to give her the chance to say no.

Min Yu’s voice came again. “You will be paid.”

Huo Yao was leaning against the car seat lazily when she heard this and instantly straightened her body. “You really didn’t have to. Tell me. What do you need me to do?”

Min Yu’s cheeks quivered slightly after hearing her change in att.i.tude before he said, “They are having problems with the internet.”

Huo Yao raised her brow and asked. “Did Yang Yi fail again?”

“If he heard what you said, he would feel demoralized.” Min Yu laughed gently.

Huo Yao reached her hand out to rub her forehead before she straightened some stray bangs coolly. “It is part and parcel of growing up.”

Min Yu glanced at her without saying a word.

The car arrived at the side entrance of the Ministry of National Security in 30 minutes.

Yang Yi had kept an eye on the time, and was already waiting at the side entrance. The moment he saw his boss’s car, he walked over.

Yang Yi reverently opened the driver’s car door when he heard the car unlock. He looked up before walking around the car. Just as Huo Yao was about to open the car door, Yang Yi beat her to it.

“Hi, Miss Huo,” greeted Yang Yi and nodded slightly.

Huo Yao nodded. After getting out of the car, she looked at the main entrance.

The imposing thick metal door at the entry glinted coldly while infrared beams and surveillance cameras trained themselves onto her.

Huo Yao went quiet for some time. She finally raised her head to look at Min Yu when he walked over beside her.. “Huh? Do you want me to fix the internet here?”
