“What are you doing here? Why are you doing this?” Ye Tianxin demanded to know.
Just then, Ye Tianxin caught sight of a black and white photograph among the flowers. It was a portrait of Li Qingcang. He looked very handsome and distinguished in that photo.
His gaze was soft and affectionate.
“Mr. Li died in the explosion. We came to pay our respects with the flowers.”
“Mr. Li was an outstanding teacher. How could he…”
Ye Tianxin shot the girls a deadly stare.
She was shaking in anger. Li Qingcang was perfectly all right and these girls were cursing him.
“What? What kind of news is that? Li Qingcang is fine. Don’t listen to the rumors. They are all lies!”
Ye Tianxin looked at the photo in anger. She walked over and s.n.a.t.c.hed the photo frame from them.
She did not want the girls to do something so silly. They were naive and stupid to believe that Li Qingcang had died. It was utter rubbish.

“Hey, why did you take our photo?”
“Quick! Give it back to us.”
Ye Tianxin raised the photo frame high and smashed it hard on the ground. The frame shattered to pieces in front of everyone.
“Are you crazy? Why did you break the photo frame?”
Ignoring their cries, Ye Tianxin bent over to remove the photograph from the photo frame. She then glared coldly at the girls who were puzzled by her strong reaction.
...Her pale lips quivered as she spoke.
“Don’t put his photo here. He’s not dead. Do you understand?”
After finis.h.i.+ng her sentence, Ye Tianxin took the photo and walked away. She ran toward the hostel.
“Is she crazy?”
“She’s not crazy. She must be a fan of Mr. Li like us. She just refuses to believe that Mr. Li is dead.”
“How is it possible? I saw him walking into the lab myself. Heis not superman. The explosion was so loud. How is it possible that Mr. Li is still alive?”
“Mr. Li is such a good man. Why did G.o.d take him away?”
“G.o.d must be jealous of him.”
Wu Tong had just hung up the phone when Ye Tianxin returned to the hostel.
“Tianxin, what happened? Why is there blood on your hands?”
Ye Tianxin raised her hand to look. It was then that she noticed that there was a cut on her finger.
“Mom, it’s a small cut. I’m fine. I was trying to remove the photo from the shattered gla.s.ses and accidentally p.r.i.c.ked myself.”
Wu Tong’s face darkened when she saw the black and white photo of Li Qingcang. “Who did this?”
Ye Tianxin shook her head. She did not know who did it.
Wu Tong took out the first aid kit and used the antiseptic to apply to Ye Tianxin’s finger. She then plastered the finger with a band-aid.
“Tianxin, don’t do anything silly to hurt yourself again. Otherwise, how do I answer to Qingcang when he comes back?”
Wu Tong looked at the photo and fumed. They must be crazy to do this.
She wanted to get rid of the photo.
When she looked at the blood-stained photo, she could not help but feel sorrowful. Her son was handsome.
“Tianxin, I’m going to burn this photo.”
“Okay.”
Wu Tong took another look at the photo and wondered when the photo was taken.
She looked wistfully at it. A very smart-looking Li Qingcang stared back at her.
Her son looked good wearing anything.
Wu Tong then turned the photo to the back and was horrified to see the letter “X” printed on it.
