Xie Xuning’s comforting words left Ye Tianxin dumbfounded.
She told him, “Dad, I am worried about Dr. Xie right now.”
Xie Xuning asked, “What’s wrong with Dr. Xie?”
Ye Tianxin told Xie Xuning what had happened in the operating room and at the door of the dressing room.
“Dad, do you think Dr. Xie will be all right? She must be devastated for something like that to have happened, yet I still…”
Xie Xuning reached out and touched the soft hair on the top of his daughter’s head.
“Silly girl, you have done nothing wrong. You don’t want anything to happen to your grandma. There is nothing wrong with stopping the operation. If you are really worried about Dr. Xie, I will go check on her. You stay here with your grandma.”
“Dad, I’m just a little worried about Dr. Xie.”
The more Ye Tianxin thought about it, the more she felt that she didn’t do the job well. She really shouldn’t have treated Dr. Xie that way in the operating room.

“Dr. Xie, everyone has their good days and bad days, which is quite normal. I hope you don’t carry any mental burden because of that. My daughter is so worried about you…”
Xie Yi said with a hoa.r.s.e voice and reddened eyes, “Mr. Xie, can you take a walk with me?”
Xie Xuning hesitated for a while before nodding slightly.
“Please wait for me, I am going to change my clothes.”
Xie Yi returned to the dressing room. She got dressed and walked out of the room in less than five minutes.
They walked silently towards the outside of the hospital. Xie Xuning bought a cup of warm coffee and handed it to Xie Yi when they pa.s.sed a small shop in front of the hospital.
“You can warm your hands by holding this.”
It was very cold here in winter.
The ground was covered with snow.
Xie Yi took the coffee cup over and thanked him shyly.
The two walked silently in the small park next to the hospital. A thick layer of ice had formed on the lake in the park.
Some naughty children and adults were playing on the lake.
Despite the cold weather, there were still many people who were able to amuse themselves in this small park.
“Tianxin said that she and her grandmother depended on each other since her childhood. I was wondering where are you then?”
