The video call was connected.

After a moment of black screen, s.h.i.+ Sui's face appeared on the screen.

Xiang Yi blinked, feeling a little overwhelmed. He awkwardly waved his hand and said, "Hi."

The light around s.h.i.+ Sui fell silent. He stood under the streetlamp, clad in a dark black sweater that he had just changed into, which accentuated the fairness of his skin tone.

"What did you have for dinner?"

Xiang Yi couldn't answer, and she said vaguely, "I-I ate a lot at lunch! The beef cakes smell especially good. I'll make them for you when I get back!"

s.h.i.+ Sui sighed but he did not expose her.

He merely answered softly, "Aren't you cold? Be careful not to catch a cold." 

The little girl on the screen was wearing only a cream-colored short-sleeved loose s.h.i.+rt, probably so that she could move around easily. However, she looked very cold and slender on this rainy summer night. 

Xiang Yi immediately leaped onto the single bed and wrapped the blanket around her body. "It won't be cold like this!" 

s.h.i.+ Sui said, "Xiang Yi, you're very obedient." 

Xiang Yi swung her little feet.

I was complimented.
