Everyone stared at him with dull and blank looks.

That little explanation was enough to justify the little master t.i.tle. With his position, calling the kid a kind of young master was totally within his purview.

What got the crowd baffled though was, how did the demon Gu Santong end up as his G.o.dson? No one could tame the freak for three centuries but Zhuo Fan just showed up and it was a done deal?

Everyone made strange faces at Zhuo Fan.

“Steward Zhuo, when did you and Gu Santong have the ‘fortune’ to get so close?” Grandmother probed.

Zhuo Fan smiled, “Around eight years ago, me and young Sanzi traded blows leading to us becoming the father and son duo we are today, ha-ha-ha…”

She used to wonder why they fought a mean fight back in the imperial palace. It was now obvious from their close relations.h.i.+p.

And since they knew each other before it, that battle was just a farce.

And by connecting the dots with the imperial family’s att.i.tude for the seven houses, Grandmother smelled a conspiracy.

Grandmother turned grave, “Steward Zhuo, what have you planned after this war?”

Zhuo Fan praised [Smart.] and smiled, “Don’t worry, I have everything set up.”

Grandmother nodded.

Only now did she have an inkling as to what was with those series of strange events so far. Why the imperial family broke it off with Luo clan over a mere marriage proposal, why instead of keeping the seven houses in check, it turned a deaf ear to the Regent Estate’s blind ambition.

Each with their own goal, all at the low low price of the other houses, out of the loop and toyed with like fodder.

Now that they were in Zhuo Fan’s boat, they were stuck with him and his orders. That was the purpose behind her question regarding Zhuo Fan’s plans after defeating Regent Estate.

His answer laid her worries to rest.

Veiled Dragon Pavilion and Sword Marquise Abode’s people were still clueless.

“Steward Zhuo, what’s become of Huangpu Tianyuan?” With such a huge commotion in the nation, they were all concerned about the Nine Dragons Diamond Body freak. Long Yifey couldn’t fight the question.

Everyone looked on hopefully.

Zhuo Fan snickered, “Do you need to ask? With young Sanzi’s help, he’s dead as a doornail!”

Everyone released a breath.

They figured it might be so. Nine Dragons Diamond Body was a freak but he didn’t stand a chance against Gu Santong and Zhuo Fan teaming up.

They only wanted confirmation.

They looked at the duo with more praise, [No one can top them in Tianyu!]

Luo clan had shot from a down in the dumps third rate clan to higher than the seven houses and their legacies in just a decade.

They all admired Zhuo Fan, for he was the one to bring it all to pa.s.s…

“Steward Zhuo, I have failed you. We’ve been attacking Caged Dragon City for ten days but can’t do anything to it.” Qiu Yanhai sighed.

Zhuo Fan glanced at Gu Santong.

The kid let out a theatrical sigh, “Ten days and no results. You sure are useless. Guess this young master and my dad will have to show you how it’s done.”

Qiu Yanhai’s face twitched.

Getting told off by a kid, even if a freak, bruised his pride.

The others sighed. [Like father, like son.] The ever stubborn Invincible Scamp took to the ill-reputed act of showing off like fish to water.

Under the expectant gazes of the excited audience, Gu Santong and Zhuo Fan entered the play. Zhuo Fan’s right eye flashed golden and Gu Santong’s adorable fists surged with rampant power.

Caged Dragon City shook like never before, reaching the brink of collapse.

A door slammed open, revealing a Regent Estate’s elder rus.h.i.+ng in, “Sir Leng, our defenses are breached! What do we do?”

Leng Wuchang sat in his seat with closed eyes,  “What can we do? Surrender. Our only hope fell with Estate Lord. Since I heard Zhuo Fan just now it only means Estate Lord… Even if this array is yet to fall, holding out now has no meaning…”

“That…” The elder shook his head, crestfallen.

If not even the resourceful Leng Wuchang could come up with something, all that remained was for him to send the order to lay down their arms.

The house lords heard it and were totally against it. Zhuo Fan was their bitter enemy, how could they just give up?
