Closing the door, Lucifer walked over to the bed and sat down.

Caen and Salazar also picked up a chair and sat, facing him.

"Salazar and I will be leaving the Palace tonight. So we need witnesses to prove that we were always inside the Palace in case there is any suspicion on us. That's where you come to play," Lucifer explained as he began talking about the plan.

"After we finish eating, we'll all go to bed. But that's when the game starts. At exactly two, Salazar and I will sneak out of this Place. At three, you'll call the Adonis. You can use any excuse as to why you called her. Just make sure she sees you inside the room."

"Half an hour later, you'll change your looks to mine and go to my room. Then you'll do the same thing. You'll call Adonis and ask her for something. I'm sure you can think of some excuse."

"Half an hour after that, you'll go to Salazar's room and call Adonis as him. I want you to do it throughout the night, so Adonis becomes our witness that the three of us were always inside the Palace. Just be subtle about it."

Lucifer finished the explanation before asking, "Do you understand it?"

"I get it." Caen nodded. "I'll make sure that she knows we're here."

After an hour, Adonis returned. She called Heath out of his room. At the same time, she called Salazar out of his room, where Lucifer and Caen were also present.

"Dinner is waiting for you at the dinner table. Please follow me."

Adonis escorted them to the dining room, where a ma.s.sive table was filled with food.

"You made all that in an hour?" Caen asked, surprised.

He was amazed at how much was on the table.

"Yes. Please try," Adonis replied.

"That's some delicious food. Thank you." Alicia thanked the maid who served food.

She was sitting at the same dining table with Ca.s.sius and his family.

Many family members of Ca.s.sius were taking subtle glances at Alicia, smiling. It was the first time Ca.s.sius had brought a lady home, and they all wondered if she was going to be his life partner.

The two of them did seem close as they were often seen talking secretly, only to stop as a family member approached them. That act made people even more suspicious about their relations.h.i.+p.

What they didn't know was that Alicia and Ca.s.sius were talking about the plan to infiltrate the Academy of Gifted Variants.

"So, Alicia. What do you think of our Ca.s.sius?" Ca.s.sius's mother asked Alicia.

"Cough! Mother, can you not talk such nonsense?" Ca.s.sius replied, coughing. He understood where his mother was getting at.

'You know, many girls have a crush on him, but he never even looked back. I thought he didn't have any interest in a romantic relations.h.i.+p, but who knows. With the right person, that might change," Ca.s.sius's mother didn't stop, continuing talking.

Everyone finished their dinner, but Lucifer was still eating. He ate the most out of everyone present here, at the same time, eating for the longest.

Everyone waited for him to finish, sitting at the dinner table.

It was only after he finished eating that everyone went back upstairs. They all went inside their rooms and started waiting for the right time.

Lying on his bed, Lucifer closed his eyes as he lost himself in thoughts.

The n.o.bles drank human blood while keeping it a secret from the world. But that still didn't prove if it was a hobby of theirs or a necessity. If it was a hobby, then he couldn't do anything with it, but if it was a necessity, there were ways he could use it.

Bringing out his gla.s.ses from his pocket, he wore them and called Ca.s.sius.

Ca.s.sius's father stopped his wife, who was making things awkward for his son, but at the same time, he started helping his son without being direct.

He walked away while picking the call.

"That's awesome. So how's the plan going there? What's that place like? Are there any problems?"

"Hmm? Really? You think you can finish the mission in a few days if everything goes right? That would be good.

"About me? We still haven't started. I'm still in the information collecting phase. I'll soon begin too, probably tomorrow, since I have received the information I needed. If everything goes right, tomorrow we'll get what we need."

Lucifer opened the window after putting back the gla.s.ses. He turned on the night vision to make sure that no one was outside. After making sure, they left the Palace, flying away.

Caen was the only one left in the room, watching Lucifer and Salazar fly away.

"Hopefully, it will be over tonight." He muttered before walking to the bed; he sat down.

Lucifer and Salazar flew through the dark skies of the Divine Empire. As the night was darker than usual because of no moon presence in the sky, he had an easier time staying hidden.

Soon, he and Salazar reached the Royal Palace, where the peak power of this Empire stayed.

"Let's find the weakest part of their defense," Lucifer said, flying closer to the Royal Palace.
