As Kana finished what she had to say, she looked at the king and tilted her head. "You okay? Your face is purple. You should really see a doctor about that. I am sure that is not healthy. Anyway, remember I am always watching." Kana gave the room a bright smile before disappearing.

As soon as she left, the king smashed his fist off the table, turning it into dust. "That b.i.t.c.h! How dare she!"

"Your Majesty, please calm down. We have to figure out what to do now. Do we comply with what she said, or do we continue as normal?"

"What else can we do at this point!? I am the strongest in the Sea of Stars, and even I can not do anything under that woman's gaze! I do not know where she came from, but she really knows how to anger me to death!" The king shouted in anger. He wanted to rip the lizard girl to shreds, but he couldn't! He couldn't even move. He was afraid that if he did, he would vanis.h.!.+ "Send word. All slaves are to be released. All Circle Rounds are to allow free pa.s.sages to all demonkin and demi humans to the old demon domain. No one is to touch them! If we start a war with this new Demon Emperor before we know their true strengths then we will only be asking to be killed!"

The room was heavy, but no one disagreed with the king. This was no time to be testing the waters when a new power suddenly showed up. After all, everyone on the council was once a major power in the Sea of Stars but submitted to the Cline family. They only know how to respect the strong while picking on the weak.

That day the Sea of Stars underwent a drastic change. All slaves were told to be let go. Many people complained, but under the might of the Circle Rounds, no one could fight the decision, and were forced to let go of all their slaves. Only slaves who were willing to stay were not taken away. This was only if they wished to leave.

It was like a ma.s.s exodus. Millions of demonkin and demi humans made their way to the demon domain. The place they had all dreamt of going to. The new demon army patrolled the border and allowed all demons coming in to enter the demon domain and were told to find a place to settle down, whether it was an old ruined town, village, or city. They could go where they pleased. Safety was guaranteed within the barrier.

But this was not the only thing going on. There were many n.o.bles of the Sea of Stars who began to disappear. All of them had tried to kill their slaves or hide them away so that they would not be taken away. When the king found out about this, he couldn't help but rage in anger. But at the same time, he felt cold sweat rolling down his back. He was glad that he never allowed slaves in his palace. They were all human commoners.

Within the grand palace in the demon domain. Kana sat half lying on a couch with a place of meat balled up to look like grapes lying on her stomach as she snacked on them. "Mama, I have something to show you."

Bi Ling walked into the room. She was a bit nervous, but she decided to finally tell her Mama about her new powers. Kana looked up at her daughter and smiled as she adjusted herself so she was sitting upright and patted the spot next to her. "Come sit. Have some meat grapes."

Bi Ling shook her head and stood in front of her Mama. She took a deep breath and said: "Aegis!"

A swirl of golden light wrapped around Bi Ling. Slowly a hexagonal barrier formed around her as a golden armor appeared on her body. Bi Ling stood there with her head lowered. "After I got my new body, I suddenly got a t.i.tle…. I am now the Paladin G.o.ddess of Aegis."

"Oh?" Kana's eyes widened, but when she thought about it, it seemed a perfect fit for her daughter. "I think it suits you well. You are always defending your sister and those around you. I think this is the right path for you. You are the s.h.i.+eld who protects the ones you care about."

Bi Ling's eyes sparkled. She never thought about it like that! Her Mama was right! If she wanted to protect everyone she cared about, this was the perfect power to do just that! "Hehe!" Bi Ling raised her head, and a smile blossomed on her face. She walked over and hugged her Mama and stole a meat grape. "Thank you, Mama…. You helped me see a new path. From now on, I will work hard and try to make up new ways to use this power so I can protect everyone!"

"Mmm!" Kana smiled and kissed Bi Ling's cheek. She was happy to see Bi Ling finally finding a path that worked for her.

While Kana and Bi Lingg were having a mother-daughter moment. In another part of the palace, in a room filled with puppets, Mei Ling was putting the finis.h.i.+ng touches on her newest creation. "Now I just need to give you life…." Mei Ling's lips curled up as she poked the head of the puppet. Its body shook for a moment before bowing its head to Mei Ling. "Master."

"Success! After so many failures! Your name will be Nero." Mei Ling looked at her creation. He was made of magic and wood, but it was her first puppet that she made that actually had life.

"Understood, Master…." Nero replied and bowed its head. It was crafted to look female, but it did not resemble a human in the slightest.

"When I get better materials, I will work on a better body. If you find any issues, let me know right away, and I will try to fix them. " Mei Ling looked at Nero with a bright smile. She was one more step closer to her goal of creating an army of magical puppets.

"Master wishes to make more of me?" Nero asked.

"Mmm... But not now. I will first perfect you until you are just as strong as I am. I am sure it will take a long time." Mei Ling sighed. While she had a few spells that were similar, they were not like Nero's. They had limited intelligence and only knew how to kill things. Nero was her first successful attempt.

"I will do what I can to a.s.sist Master," Nero replied. She had no idea what she could do to a.s.sist her new master, but she would do what she could.

Mei Ling only hoped she could reach enough mastery at making puppets before they arrived in Aurora, mainly because she wanted to be ready for anything. She wanted to make sure that her family would have something to rely on, even if they were inferior in power. Something that was at least slightly powerful was better than nothing.

The days pa.s.sed, and new villages, towns, and cities were beginning to appear all over the demon domain. The people were all working hard for a new brighter feature. Creige looked out from the palace window over the land and smiled. He truly felt more relaxed now, knowing that everyone was working together and forming new communities amongst themselves.

He also had an influx of people joining his demon army, which was always good news. He had planned for so much, but things had to be done one step at a time. He would soon be deciding on those who would become n.o.bles and would start taking on tasks so he could have more time for himself and his family. He needed to leave Devan, a strong group of people who would support him in the future to come.

"Handsome Papa, I have the files you wanted." Angelica walked in, she had a pair of reading gla.s.ses on, giving her more of a librarian vibe with all the things in her hand. "G.o.dmother is currently training the new recruits for the army. She is not letting them off easy."

"She ruled over h.e.l.l for many years. She is more used to this kind of thing than any of us. So having her train my army is very rea.s.suring. Any word on Tilia and Kiliffia? Do we have everything ready for the return?"

"I am not sure. Rain has gone to the Void of Oblivion to take a look in on their progress to see if they will need more time. She should be back any day now. But knowing them, they will keep the five hundred year deadline." Angelica replied. She wanted to go to the Void of Oblivion as well, but she knew her talents were needed here, or else her Mama and Handsome Papa would overwork themselves. As to why she was wearing gla.s.ses when she did not need them. She had a habit of using them when she read things or did paperwork. It could be said to be her true work mode.
