Chapter 104: Second Evolution Part Two

Creige had moved the egg up near the head of the bed where he could lie down next to it. It had already been two days since Kana had begun her evolution. The time for the second evolution took much longer than the first. But depending on the age and species of the one evolving, it could take weeks to months before the process was done. And Kana as one of the dragon race, who lived long lives as it was and aged slowly. Her second evolution was going to take time.

*Knock!* *Knock!*

A knock came at the door to Kana's room. Creige raised his head from the book he was reading and said: "Come in."

A maid walked in with blushed cheeks. Now just because she was blus.h.i.+ng did not mean she had designs on Creige. It was because he was so handsome that any girl would swoon over him. But all the maids knew not to do any more than just look and keep their thoughts behind closed doors. As each maid here was from the castle and had served the king himself, they were all well disciplined in this regard. "Master, will you be taking your meal here again?"

"Mmm… From now on, until my wife evolves, I will be eating here. If you would, please prepare clothes for me as well." Creige replied. All the maids now called him master. No one dared to call him handsome husband as Kana did if she was not around. Plus, calling him master was not wrong either since he was Kana's husband.

"It has already been done. Miss Kana had us prepare clothes for you before Miss Ceilie left. I will bring a clean set of clothes to you now." The maid replied while bowing her head.

"Then I thank you. There will be no need for any hot water up here for the time being. I can deal with it myself." Creige did not want the maids bothering him too much. In truth, he didn't like being around others too much. As a demon whose race was not too social to begin with, it was too tiresome to have others around. This was why the people Creige had at his side that he trusted and talked to could be counted on three fingers. One was his good friend Baldswin. While the other two were Ceilie and, of course, Kana.

After the maid left and came back with clothes, Creige went about getting a bath ready for himself. To be safe, he even brought the bathtub into the bedroom and placed it next to the bed so he could still guard Kana's egg.

As the days pa.s.sed, so did the weeks. The academy enrollment was closing in. If Kana wished to enter the academy, she only had a week and a half left. It was evening time, and Creige had just settled down into his bath. He laid back and relaxed. His warm, gentle gaze fell on the egg next to him. He reached out with his hand and gently ran his fingers over the egg.

*Crack!*

A cracking sound was heard, causing Creige to quickly jerk his hand back. He thought he might have pressed too hard on the egg, but to his surprise, the top of the egg went flying off, and an outstretched hand appeared. "Done!" A voice that no longer sounded young but now sounded soft and beautiful filled Creige's ears. He watched with wide eyes as a beautiful young woman appeared in front of him. Her lightly tanned skin fell into his eyes. Her slim body now showed the womanly curves of an adult woman. Her chest that was once nothing more than an ironing board now had two small mounds with pinks cherries topping them off.

Besides her fiery red hair, there was not a single hair on the rest of her body. Kana's evolution had actually evolved her into a seventeen to nineteen-year-old body. "Up we go!" Kana said happily as she climbed out of the egg. She stepped on the bed with her small feet before stretching her body a little bit. On her head, poking out of her hair, were two long horns. From her back were her crimson red-scaled tail and a set of wings.

"Hmm? Where is Handsome Husband?" Kana looked around until she finally spotted Creige in the bath next to the bed. Kana's eyes lit up as a happy smile formed on her face. She jumped up into the air right at Creige. "Creige!"

There was a splas.h.i.+ng sound as Kana jumped right into the bath with Creige. She hugged his neck with her arms and planted a kiss on his lips. Her naked body pressed up against his as she continued to kiss Creige.

Creige, on the other hand, had frozen in place. He did not know what to do. His hands were encircling Kana, but he still had yet to close them to embrace her. All he could feel was her soft body against his causing his little buddy to start to react.

Kana, who was happy as can be, was bouncing around, making things worse when she finally felt something strange. "Hmmm? What is poking my…."

It was only then that Kana realized two important things. One, she was in a bathtub, and two, she was also naked in said bathtub with the person who was taking a bath. Kana's whole head all the way down her neck turned bright red. "I… Ummm…. I will get out..." Lowering her head, Kana quickly jumped out of the bathtub and on to the bed and, in a single motion, wrapped a blanket around her, covering her entire head except for one small spot where you can see her yellowish-red eyes peeking out looking at Creige, who was still in the same position as before.

Kana looked at her handsome husband who's naked upper body filled her view, causing her to lick her lips. She silently muttered: "Handsome husband is very handsome..."
