For a second, Kana thought she saw a bit of blush on the goblin boss's face. But she did not slow down her attack as she let out a [Dragon Breath]. The goblin boss roared in pain under the immense heat of her dragon flames. "Mary, go ahead!" Kana suddenly shouted.

Mary was waiting for this chance as she drew her first arrow and notched it. She had never used a bow before, but she understood the concept of how to use one by watching the goblins. She pulled the bowstring back with the notched arrow and took aim, and let it fly. Because she was already very good at using a gun, she put her skills to use and watched as the arrow flew through the air and stabbed into the goblin boss's head.

"Ahhh!" The goblin boss was in so much pain, and now he had something embedded into his head. His health was falling fast under Kana's flames. Mary was using this chance to work on her bow skills. After about ten shots, she had really gotten the knack of it and was firing like crazy.

Kana had realized that weapons from her teammates were not affected by her flames. This was interesting because this meant that after the fight was over, as long as the goblin boss did not destroy the arrows, Mary could recollect all the arrows she shot. After a few minutes, the goblin boss body began to glow brightly before letting out one more pained scream and turning into b.a.l.l.s of light. As it did, a bunch of items fell to the ground.

Kana walked over and saw some s.h.i.+ny bits of armor, and the one thing she had been hoping for also dropped but as a smaller version of itself. Kana picked up the sword the goblin boss used and smiled.

Kana transformed back into her humanoid form and held the weapon in the air As she smiled. "Perfect."

Besides the sword, there were a few bits of armor as well.

Kana looked at the armor and was quite surprised at the additions. She took the armor pieces and handed them over to Mary. "Take these and equip them."

"Okay..." Mary took the armor and was about to put them on when she realized something was wrong. "Ummm… Kana…. These armor pieces do I have to wear them?"

"Yes, hurry up and put them on! They can save your life." Kana wanted Mary to have as much protection as possible, and this armor was strong enough to keep her alive safe.

"Okay, it's on..." Mary was blus.h.i.+ng from ear to ear. Kana turned around to look at Mary, who looked as if she was wearing nothing at all.

"Ermm… Is that the armor?" Kana asked. She really didn't look at the style before pa.s.sing it to Mary.

Mary nodded, her cheeks growing hotter. Kana scratched her nose and averted her eyes. "Just wear your other clothes over it..."

Mary quickly did as Kana said, feeling much better afterwards. The armor looked no different than a string bathing suit! Luckily she had other clothes to wear over it. Even if it was only Kana and Aoi, Mary still felt embarra.s.sed to be walking around in such a thing.

Besides the sword and armor, there was a small pile of silver and a burnt cloth. Kana picked up the burnt cloth and looked at its details.

[These panties were worn by the goblin king himself. After being burnt, wearing them will give a cooling breeze in the rear. Has not been washed since put on. Has no other effects.]

Kana frowned and spat out a bit of flame, burning the cloth to ashes. She then had Aoi summon some boiling water and sanitized her hands. After collecting the silver, Kana began looking around the room for another exit. "Mary, help me look for the entrance to the second level."

"Alright!" Mary strapped her bow to her back and began looking around the large room.

The two girls searched all over and still came up with nothing. "How do you enter the next level..." Kana was getting annoyed they spent like an hour so far checking the walls for a secret pa.s.sage but came up with nothing. Kana walked over to the huge throne and jumped up on top of it to rest. It was not until she looked down onto the floor in front of the throne that she found something was odd. "Why are there grooves in the floor… Mary, I think I figured it out!"

Kana jumped down from the throne and ran to the backside of it, and gave it a strong push. As she did, she felt the throne move slightly, making her smile. Mary came running over and began helping Kana push. Within minutes the throne was pushed far enough to reveal a staircase leading down.

Kana looked down at the dark abyss in front of them with a bit of antic.i.p.ation. "Looks like this is the entrance. It's kinda dark, though... " With a flick of her finger, a ball of fire appeared and hovered in front of her. This ball of fire couldn't be used for much more than as a light, but it was very handy. "Alright, are you ready?"

"As ready as I can be." Mary answered. Her eyes were now filled with a fighting spirit as if she was ready for anything that would be thrown at her.

"Aoi is always ready!" Aoi yelled, pumping her fist up into the air.

"Alright, then let's check out the next level!" Kana led the way as she entered the dark abyss with only the small flame in her hand lighting the way. As the group reached the mid way point, they heard a loud sound of something sc.r.a.ping across the ground coming from above them. The dim light that once filled the upper part of the staircase was now pitch black.

*Ding!*

[First level of the Dronic dungeon now cleared!]
