Kana cultivated for three days to stabilize her cultivation after her breakthrough and heal up as much as she could before she finally felt somewhat normal again. She still had injuries, but it was not as bad as before. Sadly just to heal as much as she did, she had used all but a single healing pill. Her injuries were truly grave, putting her close to death's door. If not for the adrenaline rus.h.i.+ng through her, she would never have been able to crawl as far as she did.

As she opened her eyes, she realized her surroundings were vastly different than before. She was still sitting under the large rock, but the fog had completely disappeared. She looked around and saw nothing but an open field, and off in the distance were mountains and a line of trees. "This… The village vanished?"

Kana frowned and cursed her luck. She started to suspect that the village she entered not too long ago was something that only appeared once and a blue moon. Thinking of this, Kana clenched her fists. She felt so weak. She couldn't protect herself, nor could she do anything to protect Ako. The her of now, even if she had her powers, may be strong here, but what about in the sea of stars of Aurora? She would not be able to protect herself or her family. She wondered if her coming to this world was fate. A world where she was restricted to start anew. A place where she could die at any moment. "Did my babies go through the same thing when they left? Did they face many life and death situations? Was this why her babies seemed so strong?"

Kana pondered and figured it to be true. Her babies had earned their strength with every step. Each step was difficult and came with great dangers. "The thought of wanting to get stronger is something I can truly understand now."

Kana checked her condition and frowned slightly. Although she had broken through, this did not mean all of her wounds would instantly heal. She still had some internal injuries that had yet to heal, but they would not cause a problem for the time being as long as she was not forced to fight. She just needed time to heal.

"I guess I will need to see if I can find ingredients to make a rank one healing pill… That old man said something about silver gra.s.s and amber honey. Sadly I do not have a pill furnace… I wonder if I can use something else… Maybe turn the pill into a liquid?" Kana pondered for a moment and decided she could only attempt it and see if she could make a potion instead of a pill. 

Kana scratched her head and headed towards the closest tree line. She remembered what the old man, who was teaching her pill refinement, told her and remembered the images of the ingredients she needed. She just hoped she could create a potion that was similar to a pill. She could easily draw the spiritual qi in the air and infuse it into the water just like a pill, so creating a potion in this fas.h.i.+on may actually work.

With these thoughts in mind, she continued on her journey. A few days pa.s.sed before she finally reached the tree line. On the way, she camped out and ate whatever she could catch. As the gra.s.sy lands were filled with small animals, she did not starve, nor did she really get to fill her stomach. One thing she noticed was that she truly did feel lonely traveling all alone. This kind of solitude was good but also bad at the same time. Good because she had no one to rely on but herself, and it allowed her to concentrate more on herself than before. The bad was because she had no one to talk to or complain to besides herself.

"I wonder how I lived so long in my past life… I roamed the streets all alone, doing my best to survive. I was reborn as a dragon and was spoiled rotten but those around me. I truly was blessed in this life." Kana chuckled to herself as she thought about everything that had happened to her. Her thoughts kept her occupied as she looked for the ingredients she needed. 

With her current injuries, she did not dare venture too far into the forest. So she only stayed on the outer edge. Her first goal was to heal up before starting her training, or at least she had hoped. 

"Keke… Looks like a strange one. I bet her blood will boost my cultivation a lot!" A voice came from deeper in the woods, causing Kana, whose hand was about to pick up a bunch of silver gra.s.s, to freeze and look up. 

A man wearing a black room with a hood came walking up out of the shadows of the trees. Kana could not see his face, so she could not tell how old he was. But the scent of blood was thick coming off the man. Kana knew right away he had killed countless people. With her current injuries, she was in no shape to be fighting anyone.

Kana did not hesitate to grab the silver gra.s.s in front of her and run! The man in black let out a sickening laugh as he watched Kana run. He loved it when his prey tried to fight with all they had. "Haha! Run! Run! Run with all your might!"

Kana did not even look back. She stepped on air and pushed off, instantly sending her meters forward as if almost teleporting. The man saw this and frowned. He had never seen such a movement technique before, and he could not sense any spiritual fluctuations as she moved. "Humph! Do you think you can escape me!?"

The man in black expression became serious as she gave chase. He suddenly felt this prey would not be easily captured.  One thing he could not understand was how a peak body fortification cultivator was able to use a movement technique. Because of this, he planned to force her to give up the technique before draining her of her blood to use for his own cultivation.. With these thoughts in mind, he chased after Kana.
