In another place a few years back outside the universe Kana was in, Creige was currently covered in blood, looking at the ma.s.sive army in front of him. In front of that army was a woman wearing a black dress sitting on top of a floating throne. "Creige, You would not be in this state if you just married me. But you still refused."

"Heh… I told you, I am already married, and my beloved will always be my one and only beloved. We have already sworn on our souls we would only have each other for the rest of our lives and any other life thereafter. No matter what, my wife is the only one for me. No one can take her place in my heart, nor will I allow any other woman to touch me. She is my only reason to keep going forward so that we can once again be reunited. So even if I have to draw my last breath, I will kill myself before I will allow you to touch me." Creige was firm. His beloved had suffered too much. He never wanted to see her cry ever again. Her smile was what he lived for.

"Hah! How romantic. But this is what I love about you. So behave and come to my side. I may even allow that s.l.u.t to even be a maid at your side." The woman in a black dress said confidently. 

Creige had just reached the immortal realm, and the woman in front of him was at its peak. Her level was much higher than his. After the ascended realm, he noticed his power growth was no longer instant. He now had to level up slowly like everyone else. But he did not mind as he was able to slow his progress down and not rush things as before. But now, he truly wished he had a bit more power to deal with the situation at hand.

He looked at the woman in black, his eyes cold as ice and filled with killing intent. This woman really dared to call his caring and loving wife a s.l.u.t!? "Either you die, or I die. No one is allowed to call my wife such names and gets to live."

The woman in black covered her mouth as if she had said something by accident. "It was just a slip of the tongue. You know how us women are. But let me tell you. You will not be able to kill me with your current level, nor will you be able to kill yourself as I will make sure you can't. I can just cut off your hands and feet. I only really need the thing between your legs. With your handsomeness and my beauty, our kids will definitely be amazingly good looking, don't you think?"

"Oh? You are planning to take this lad?" A voice sounded from behind the woman in black.

"Why not? He will make for a fine breeding horse to make my children amazing. I mean…" The lady in black suddenly stopped her words and turned her head to see a smiling old man standing next to her with his hands behind his back. The woman in black almost jumped out of her skin from fright as she pointed at the old man and asked: "Y-You! Where did you come from!?"

"Me? I have been here this whole time, and at the same time, I have not been here. But little miss, I suggest you do not touch this young man, or you will regret it. " The old man replied. His smile never changing. 

"You! Who are you to tell me what I can and can not do?" The woman in black suddenly became mad. She had no idea who this old man was, but she would not allow him to threaten her!

"Are you really bent on taking this young man as your boy toy?" The old man asked.

"So what. It's none of your business." The lady in black was starting to feel something was off. She did not know why but this old man gave her a bad feeling but, she could and would not let Creige go after chasing him down like this.

"Hmmm… Lad, do you need my help? Your wife will get mad if you do anything like this, and to be honest, she is already mad at me, so I do not wish for her to get even more angry with me." The old man said while scratching his nose. 

"Do you even need to ask me such a question? If I had the strength to deal with this, I would have already. I would rather die than betray Kana." Creige let out a sigh of relief seeing this old man. He did not like this old man, but he was glad to see him here. 

"Haha! I am sure. Your two fates are entwined together." The old man let out a laugh as he smiled before he turned to the woman in black once more. "It seems you have two choices. Leave now or die, pick." 

"You!" The woman in black suddenly felt a heavy weight bearing down on her. The old man next to her had power that was unfathomable. Sweat began to drip down all over her body as fear filled her eyes. She turned and looked at Creige with a bit of reluctance. "I will leave for today. Creige, mark my words. You will become mine!"

With that, the woman in black turned and led her ten thousand man army away. Seeing them leave, Creige felt the power in his body draining. He had lost a lot of blood fighting the men that had been sent after him. No rest for almost three months while on the run. He was truly tired. He, who was once a grand king in the sea of stars, chased to the point that he was now in his current condition. He truly felt weak. 

"Creige, I will tell you this now, you will need to grow much stronger. So strong that even I will be frightened. If you truly wish to protect the one you love, you will need to become more than just an average mortal. Your power now is restricted by me. I did it in order to allow you to grow even stronger. Otherwise, you will be too weak for what is to come. But I have a way for you to gain that strength if you are willing." The old man appeared in front of Creige and reached out his hand. A golden light emitted from it and spread out over Creige's body, healing his injuries.

"Whatever it is, as long as it will make me strong enough to stay by Kana's side, I will endure it no matter what."
