Chapter 761: Merging With Chaos

Now that everyone was set. Kana and the rest were starting to prepare to return to the sect with Elder Ning. Currently, Kana was standing at the edge of the sheer cliff caused by the man in black. Next to her was the old man with his hands behind his back. "I will be leaving soon. All your powers will once again be restrained. Make sure you take good care of yourself."

"I will. I have to be there for my handsome husband and my babies. But old man, before you go. Can you look at Ako?" Kana was very worried about her slimy friend. She had not heard from here since the one time she woke up. 

"Hmmm?" The old man's eyes opened wide and peered into the deaths of Kana's soul sea. In a small portion of it, Ako was curled up into a ball. The expression on her face showed just how much pain she was in. On top of that, her limbs had started to turn black. "Kana, do not resist, I need to earnt your soul sea."

"Huh? Okay…." Kana suddenly had a bad feeling but allowed the old man to enter her soul sea. She had known something was seriously wrong with Ako, but she could not contact her. She couldn't even peer into Ako's s.p.a.ce, it was like she was blocked off.

Inside Kana soul sea, the old man stood next to the slime girl who looked as if she were enduring tremendous pain. "This…. How did you run into the chaos element?" The old man was puzzled. Chaos element was an element that was born even before himself. To find such an element here was unthinkable even to him. The only place you could find it was in Aurora and Eden.

"The chaos element is actually merging with her body… This is…. Is it because of the poison?" The old man looked at Ako with a curious gaze. He never thought it would be possible for any creature to touch chaos and survive. But not only was this slime girl still alive, she was merging with chaos itself. "A new being with the power of chaos…. And this contract…. Is my little disciple truly this lucky?" 

The old man actually felt a little jealous of Kana's luck. Chaos was not even something he would want to touch. But now, his disciple had a contracted divine beast that would soon have the power of chaos. "If Kana could also get this element…. No, no, it is too dangerous, but…." The old man looked at Ako once more before kneeling down and inspecting her once again.

"While the poison did help at the beginning, it is now starting to spread faster after this rate, the little slime will lose all her power and be consumed. I guess you are also lucky to be connected to Kana." The old man waved his hand, and a purple substance began to float up out of Ako's body. After a few minutes, a ball of purple liquid floated in the air.  "To think she was able to reach her level with such a poison. If she progressed any further, she would have died. Sadly the side effect of the poison kicked in when she took in the chaos element."

With another wave of his hand, the purple liquid disappeared. The old man saw the pained expression on Ako's face ease a bit, but he knew she was still in a lot of pain. "Fight against the pain, it will allow you to merge better with the chaos element. Although the process is slow, in the next twenty years or so, you will be fully reborn. And will be even more capable to serve your master."

While he could not do anything for the pain as it was needed to allow the little slime girl to fight against her fate, he was sure she would be able to push through. She had already gone through the hardest part, and he has taken away the one obstacle for her to really change. "If she were to step into the realm of G.o.dhood, she will become the first G.o.ddess of chaos and be on par with Kana herself. Truly a lucky girl."

Shaking his head, he waved his hand for the last time creating a small green dome around Ako. "This should at least keep you from rejecting the chaos." With that, he disappeared from the s.p.a.ce. At the same time, the tightly knitted brow on Ako's face slowly eased up a bit.

When Kana saw the old man reappearing, she waited anxiously for the old man to tell her what was going on. "Kana, I have no idea what you ran into that had chaos element but…. Your little slime friend will be fine. But it will take a while. She is actually merging with the chaos element. Once the process is done, she will be very powerful. Your ability to attract powerful allies is quite amazing."

"So she will be okay?" Kana asked. She couldn't help but want to reconfirm what was going on.

"Yes, she will be fine. She will just need time. I will stop in every so often to check on her myself as I am also curious about this. Chaos element is not something one can find easily. Can you tell me a little bit about how you came across it?" The old man really wondered just how Kana, who was stuck on a planet, was able to find an element like this.

"We found a village with no one living in it shrouded in fog. We were fine until we saw a large black pillar in the middle of the town. It was from there when a black fog came out of it. The pressure it gave off was so great that we almost died. Ako helped me escape but was captured by it. If it was not for our contract, she would have died." Kana went on to explain all the details of that day.

"I see… Maybe I myself will hang around a bit more and look for this so called village in the fog."
