"What makes you think I am afraid of you, old man?" The old lady stood up before her body flashed, only to reappear behind Kana and her family with her hands behind her back, her black robes slightly fluttering. "Elder Ye, I do believe you are mistaken about something here. This treasure pavilion is my domain. And I have guarded it for many hundreds of years. Not even the little lad who sits at the sect master's peak would dare throw such words towards me. Just because I sit here enjoying my slow days does not mean I am weak in the slightest."

"So what if you are powerful? Do you think I came here not knowing that? Do you take me for a fool? I…" Before Elder Ye could finish, a voice that he knew and hated with a pa.s.sion filled his ears. 

"You're not?" Kana asked as she stepped forward. "If I am not wrong, you were named the dumbest elder in the sect before I left to go to Mofu Mountain." 

Kana was not lying. Mei Ling told her there was a secret rating chart for all the elders, and Elder Ye was named the dumbest elder in the sect. Elder Ning took the top spot for smartest elder, most liked elder, and most righteous elder. While an elder by the name of Elder Qanqan came in first place for the most beautiful elder.

"You! You are not dead yet!?" Elder Ye gritted his teeth. He did not want to deal with this stupid girl at this time. He had to deal with the situation at hand. "Never mind that. Elder Yan, I must ask you to not get involved in these matters and just look the other way."

"Look the other way when you are trying to rob my treasure pavilion!? No wonder you were rated as the dumbest elder! You are truly an idiot!" Elder Yan yelled out. She couldn't believe that this stupid old man really thought he could get away with all of this.

Elder Ye wanted to curse this old woman. His plans were simple. He would have some outer court disciples steal from the treasure pavilion, then he would frame the devil girl, but who knew that one of the ones he marked would have his soul searched!? "Elder Yan, I do believe you should not have used a soul search on the disciple just now either. Such actions can get you kicked out of the sect.  Only the sect master himself can do such a thing. So if you look the other way…."

"Wait a minute, old man, you are wrong about one thing." Angelica stepped forward and stood next to Elder Yan. 

"Who are you? Little brats should stay out of this. Return to whichever courtyard you came out of before I take you to the law enforcement hall!" Elder Ye yelled in anger. He was getting sick of being interrupted by everyone.

"Did you just threaten my daughter!?" Kana's body began to glow with a black light as her spiritual qi began turning into death element.  "No one is allowed to threaten my babies!"

Kana's hair fluttered as she took a step forward and pointed a finger toward Elder Ye. Elder Yan's eyes went wide. She had no idea why but the power emanating from the young woman who was only in the qi condensation stage frightened her to her bones. "Was this the power the sect master told me to be careful of!?" She unknowingly took a few steps back, not wis.h.i.+ng to get anywhere near Kana.

"You! I still have not settled my score with you yet, you devil! Fine, since it has come to this, I will just deal with you myself! A devil like you should not be allowed into my Moon Crest Academy!" Elder Ye lost it. Everything was already ruined. He had planned and planned while he was stuck in isolation to take care of Kana discreetly. The sect master allowed him out as long as he did not cause trouble, but Elder Ye being a prideful man, could not allow Kana, who was the cause of his downfall go. He had to at least kill the devil who caused all his hard work to be destroyed!

Elder Ye made a few hand signs which when Elder Yan saw them, her eyes were filled with fear. "You set up a spirit sealing array!?"

A spirit sealing array is an array that seals all spiritual qi in the area within the array except the one who created it. Meaning as soon as Elder Ye activated it, they were all just waiting to die! Elder Yan knew that to cover everything up, Elder Ye would not let a single person go. She went to charge forward, but it was already too late. Elder Ye finished the hand signs, and the whole area began to glow faintly before dimming once more. Kana and Elder Yan both felt the spiritual qi in their bodies disappear instantly without even a hint of it left. Kana's death element that was flying towards Elder Ye disappeared instantly due to it being made of spiritual qi.

"Haha! Did you think I did not have a backup plan!? I would not have come if I was not already prepared! Now. You d.a.m.n devil, I will finish you off once and for all!" Elder Ye had been waiting for this chance, waiting to strike to get his revenge. He had lost so much face due to the devil in front of him, and he swore to never let her go. To him killing Kana was more important than anything else. Even if he had to flee the sect afterwards, it would all be worth it.

He had so many plans made out when he became an elder and even became the elder of the law enforcement hall. This meant he could use this as a means to build up his own faction. But that faction disappeared the day he ran into this devil. He could not even cultivate because the heart devil that was created due to this girl would never go away unless this girl was dead. If he wished to cultivate any more, she would need to die this day. Elder Ye looked at Kana with a crazed expression, his sword drawn:  "You can only blame yourself for b.u.t.ting in where you should not have. Now die!"
