Kana made her way east without much thought other than what lay ahead of her. She had no idea that she was being followed by anyone. It would take her around a month to reach the mystic realm entrance by foot. Before she left, Elder Ning had given her precise directions. Otherwise, she would definitely get lost. But this was going to be a good experience for her as she was using this chance to get to know the area more. She had been here for so long, but she had not really looked around the world. She felt it would be a shame to not take in some of the sights. 

The more she knew, the more she could help her family grow stronger as well. So everything had meaning no matter where she went. If she roamed a forest and found a place that was filled with certain types of demonic beasts, it may come in handy down the line when her babies or her handsome husband head out on their journeys later. 

She knew as time went on, they would not all be able to spend time together inside the sect. Eventually, they would need to go out and experience the world for themselves. But she did not mind this because at least now they would all be on the same planet and could always meet up at any time. 

She did hope to find some places that would allow her to cultivate her demon core as well. The old man mentioned she could find such a place in this plane, but she did not know the exact place. 

As she traveled, Kana had run into many different demonic beasts. She would kill them and toss their bodies into her storage box. She even reached rank five in her demonic beast cultivation after consuming many cores. 

It was about three weeks in that she felt something was off. She was getting closer to the area where the mystic realm was located. The area was a dense, deep dark swamp, and the location of the entrance was said to be in the middle of it. She had already been in the swamp for two days now and was currently resting on a thick tree limb trying to regain her energy when she suddenly had a strong sense of danger. 

*Bam!*

Kana quickly turned and drew her sword, her body becoming clad with lightning as she jumped back. The tree branch she had been sitting on was smashed into smithereens. Kana furrowed her brow as she saw a man cloaked in black floating down from the sky. "Oh? You were really able to dodge that?"

"Who are you, and why do you want to kill me?" Kana asked as she circulated her spiritual power. She was getting ready for anything.

The man in black sneered, but he felt something was off. The lightning surrounding Kana had streaks of purple in it, and it gave off a terrifying pressure. He couldn't help but curse himself for feeling fear from a brat who was only at the peak of qi condensation, so he put the strange feeling to the back of his mind. "You do not know who I am? You dared to kill my disciple in front of my eyes and harmed my soul and you ask who I am?"

"Why are you asking the same questions over and over? If I knew who you were, I would have said: Mr. Ugly long time no see. But I didn't. I asked who you were because you have a face that makes people forget you. I mean, with such an ugly face, it makes me wonder why you even left the house. Do your parents know that you left the house to embarra.s.s them? Should I give them a call now?" Kana was just spouting a bunch of nonsense because she wanted to rile the old man up. If she were to try to fight the old man while he was in a calm state, she was sure to lose, but if the old man was angered, he might leave an opening she can exploit.

Not far away, hidden in the shadows, Elder Ning watched with cold eyes as the devil cultivator appeared, he knew who the old man was. He was the same old man that the sect master harmed not long ago when looking for the devil cultivators who had appeared within the sect. But he was not going to make a move unless it was absolutely necessary. In truth, he was supposed to bring the other disciples over to the mystic realm, but the sect master had him follow Kana instead, and Lord Yong was going to take his place.

But he was specially told not to interfere unless she was on death's door. Kana needed to grow, but she could not die. This was because they knew kana needed danger of life and death to grow strong, not to mention they were very scared of the old man behind Kana. They were afraid the old man would destroy their world if anything happened to Kana and her family, so each of Kana's family members also had people watching over them from afar. These people were not from the sect but from the royal family. The girls each had their own female shadow guard, while Creige had a male shadow guard. Each one was a master of hiding in the shadows. This was where they got the name shadow guard from.

And Elder Ning and Lord Yong were both a.s.signed to Kana. This was because they were familiar with her and the fact that she has a tendency to get into trouble. Like now. "You! I will strip off your flesh and bleed you dry!"

"That's a strange fetish, old man." Kana spat out while stepping on air and design to the side while at the same time slas.h.i.+ng out with her sword. The speed of her attack was so fast that it seemed to have reached in front of the old man in an instant. 

"You dare try to fight back!" The ugly old man's face turned red in anger as he struck out with his hand towards the sword qi. He couldn't believe Kana would even try to fight him! "Devils claw! Ahhh!" The lightning struck the ugly old man's hand and penetrated into his body, and began running rampant inside his meridians. The ugly old man's eyes turned grim as he yelled out: "Tribulation lightning!? But how!"
