Old Wen snorted as he said: "Do you think you can get away causing a scene at the Dragon Festival? A festival that has been ongoing for hundreds of years!?"

Ako chuckled and nodded her head. "Yes, I do, actually."  As soon as her words fell, a burst of laughter filled the crowd who was watching everything. 

"Cute slime girl, you tell him!"

"Haha, the cute slime girl told you!"

Hearing the crowd's jeers, Old Wen's face became red with anger. He had never lost so much face! "Humph! Even if you could, it does not mean you can take his word for it. Do you have proof that I gave it to him? Why would I, the overseer for this event, want to sabotage one of the contestants?"

"Because you are a petty old man who does not like it when you get looked down upon. I bet you wanted him to do this to regain all the face you lost when Master made you look like an old idiot… Oh, sorry, you are an old idiot. So it should be more of an idiot than before." Ako answered back. She was actually finding this kind of fun. She never realized having a poisonous tongue could be so entertaining.

"You!" Old Wen was at a loss for words. He did not know what to do. It was not like he could kill everyone here. 

"Okay, enough of the back and forth. Since you have no proof that you did not do it, and I have a witness as well as many people here knowing you have a motive to instigate such a thing, it is pretty much clear what the truth is. Do you want to lose your head or your head first?" Ako asked with a bright smile.

Old Wen's anger began to rise. He did not care anymore. Either way, it seemed he was going to die today. With no other choice, he reached for the hilt of his sword. He decided he would at least take this slime girl with him! "You should have just let it go!" 

Ako chuckled as she saw the sword coming at her. To her, it was slow. Very slow. Nothing compared to her Master and Yana. Even Little Ling could move faster than him. As the sword came near her, she raised her own sword and easily blocked it. She even put a hand behind her back as Old Wen began doing everything he could to try to kill her. 

What made things worse for Old Wen was that smile. The smile on the d.a.m.n slime girl's face that mocked him for not even being able to do anything to her. He wanted to wipe that smile off her face and replace it with a look of fear. He had wanted to conserve his spiritual qi to make a run for it, but since things have come to this, he decided that killing her was more important. "Ten thousand thunder G.o.d…."

"Why are you shouting!? So dumb! Did you think I would let you shout your skill while you cast it like some idiot!?" Ako yelled out as she swung her sword. It sliced through Old Wen's neck without much resistance. The look on his face as his head slid off his neck was that of one of shock. It was as if he could not comprehend what had just happened. 

Ako flicked her sword to clean the blood off before turning back towards Tou. she walked over and knelt down next to him. She took a bottle of healing pills out of her robes and dumped three pills into her hand. She then took Tou's hand back before shoving pills into his mouth and shoving the hand back onto the sub of his arm. She pressed it hard and waited for things to take effect. She did not even notice that she was putting it on backward, nor did she care. She only promised she would reattach his hand, not that she would do it correctly. 

In a matter of seconds, the hand was reattached well enough that it would not fall off. Nodding her head and stood up and looked at Tou. "There you go. Good luck in life. If I was you, I would start running now."

Tou shakingly stood up and bowed his head. "Tha-Thank you for sparing my life." 

"Just hurry up and leave before I change my mind." Ako waved him off. She could have killed him, but she decided not to. Whether he survived from now on was up to him. 

At that second, the sound of clapping was heard as Kana slowly floated to the ground. She was very proud of Ako. She did not freak out over the poison and was able to take her first step forward in her life. Kana walked up to her and hugged her. "You did well."

"Mmm…" Ako's eyes welled up with tears. She had finally put her past behind her.

"Since Old Wen is dead, I will take over overseeing the match." Sect master Tian appeared on the platform. He looked down at Old Wen and shook his head. He wished this idiot had a better brain. "Clean up the mess, and let's continue. The winner of this match is Ako!"

With them announcing Ako as the winner, the crowd cheered like crazy as if someone did not get their head cut off just now. But this was just how this world was. Violence and death walked beside them every step of the way in their lives, especially for cultivators. 

In the waiting area, Mei Ling looked up at the stage with a smile. Her Aunty Ako was amazing. "Little Ling, you are next. If you win this match, you will get to fight Aunty Ako." Bell said while patting Mei Ling on the head.

"Mmm… then I will finally get  a chance to go all out." Mei Ling smiled brightly. Aunty Ako was someone she could truly fight at full strength against. It seemed if they were not from her family the people were too fragile making it hard to really find the matches fun.
