Inside Moon Crest Academy, on top of the sect master's mountain inside his immortal cave, two people sat sipping tea. "You wanted to speak with me?"

The sect master looked at Kana and felt touched by her offer. He did wish to keep this sect alive for many more years to come, and with his current life span, he still had plenty of time to extend it if he continued his cultivation. "Then I will be grateful for your a.s.sistance."

"Mm…" Kana said as she stood up. "Then please strip down to your underwear. I will begin the runic engraving."

An hour later, a powerful aura came from on top of the sect master peak. The sect master stood outside his immortal cave and looked out over the sect with a smile. He looked the same overall if you ignored the runic marks all over his skin. "Sect master!"

Elder Ning flew over and landed on the mountain peak. His expression was one of shock as he looked at the sect master. "This…"

"Kana wanted to make sure nothing happened to the sect. So she helped me gain more power. Also, you will be getting complaints soon about not being able to enter or leave the sect. Take this imprint and pa.s.s it out to the other elders. It is a temporary one. It is good for leaving and entering once. I will give you a permanent one later." The sect master said while handing over a runic symbol on a jade slip. "The instructions are also in the jade slip."

Elder Ning took the jade slip and looked it over before pressing it on his forehead. When he saw what needed to be done, he was quite surprised at how simple it was. "This…."

Outside Kana's immortal cave, Kana was sitting down with Nana, who had just recently come back from a mission. "You have worked hard, I see."

Although you may no longer be considered human, I can promise you that you will grow to become the strongest out there." Kana offered. She had wanted to bring Nana along with her as Nana was like a sister to her. They had gone through a lot together, and she did not feel right if she did not offer her this chance.

Nana stared at Kana in a daze. She never thought Kana would give her such an offer. It took a few seconds before it fully kicked in before a big smile formed on her lips, and she shook her head. "While it is tempting, I do not wish to leave this world. I know you will eventually leave, and I will grow old and die one day. But I wish to do everything under the power of my own strength. While I know I will miss you, I will always remember you. My path lies here on this world."

Kana smiled and leaned over and hugged Nana. "Be careful and take care of yourself. If you are still here when I come out of closed door cultivation, let's sit and have a long chat."

"Mmm…" Tears began to well up in Nana's eyes. She hugged Kana tightly. She knew this might be the last time they got to see each other again. She hated saying goodbye to Kana, but she had to follow her own path. She may be jealous of Mei Ling, but that was Mei Ling's path and not her own.

On top of a mountain peak outside of an immortal cave, a young woman around twenty five years old stood with a broom in her hand, humming away as she swept the leaves from the stone walkway. She wore a black elder's robe that all Moon Crest Academy elders wore. She seemed happy and content with what she was doing. As if it brought her peace of mind by cleaning this path. A kind of meditiation that eased her heart.

At that moment, she suddenly stopped what she was doing and turned around. A figure appeared from the doorway to the immortal cave in front of her. A lizard tail and two horns with halos hanging from them. Her colorful hair gently swayed as she walked over and pulled the young woman into a hug. "It's good to see you again Nana…."
