Chapter 125 - Feng Alix Returns

"So you want grandfather to come after me? He has been looking after you and making sure you don't stress yourself, so how come you got married to me and your standard of living has to drop? You have to listen to me this time around." Fu Hua said in an unrefutable tone.

Jia Li stood there without saying anything. She didn't know if he was treating her well because of grandfather Fu, or because it was right he should do so.

"You can make use of my study if you want to sketch, as it is more like a small workshop." Fu Hua said to her.

"Oh... good night." Jia Li replied before walking away.

Fu Hua heaved a sigh after she left. He was about to continue going through the fas.h.i.+on magazine when his phone started to ring.

"What is it?" Fu Hua asked.

"Brother, mother is very angry about you moving out without telling her." Fu YingPei disclosed.

"How is that my business?!" Fu Hua asked with a frown.

Fu YingPei sighed. "I'm telling you this so you can protect sister-in-law. Mum doesn't like her, and as long as she's still married to you, she would continue to be bullied by mum."

"We have moved out already, she can't bully her." Fu Hua said.

"You can't be certain, because there are different ways to get a work done. But just know that mum is very angry." Fu YingPei reminded.

"Okay, I've heard you." Fu Hua said and ended the call before putting his phone aside.

Somewhere in another City, Feng Alix was just telling her manager to push back her schedule.

"In a few weeks, I will return to City X to give Fu Hua a big surprise. So, push my schedule back from next month and clear everything out for two weeks." Feng Alix instructed.

"You will be gone for two weeks?" Her manager asked.

"Yes. Once two weeks are up, I will return to continue with my schedule. Don't forget to accept any endors.e.m.e.nt that comes my way, and do your best to secure more works for me with the slightest chance you get. Don't forget, that you can't relax for a bit." Feng Alix said to her.

"Are you going alone?" She asked.

"You're coming with me, and that's the more reason you have to work hard before we leave for City X." Feng Alix said with a smile that was not a smile.

"Okay" Her manager replied before leaving her presence.

Feng Alix smiled to herself as she couldn't wait to see the look on Fu Hua's face when he would see her.

Five weeks later, it was the month of November, and the weather was colder. This evening, a plane landed at City X airport.

A tall lady with sunshades and a m.u.f.fler wrapped around her neck could be seen walking out of the airport with her manager walking behind her with two pieces of luggage in her hand.

Outside the airport, Feng Alix's manager flagged down to cabs for them.

Feng Alix got into the first one and gave out the address she was going to, while her manager took the second cab with their luggage in it.

When Feng Alix arrived at the familiar vicinity, she took out the mirror from her bag and reapplied her lipstick while looking at it.

She was all smiles after she checked herself out. Her heart was racing at the thought of seeing Fu Hua, and what his reaction would be.

She could tell how surprised he would be when he saw her. She couldn't wait to see him and to kiss him and snuggle under the sheets with him.

At the thoughts of these, Feng Alix blushed.

When the cab finally pulled up in front of the building, Feng Alix got out of the car after she paid for the ride. She adjusted her clothes before picking up her bag and walking into the building.

This place didn't feel foreign to her because she used to come over to visit Fu Hua sometimes when he asked her to come over, and other times when she went over on her own, so she was very much familiar with the place.

Entering the elevator, Feng Alix pressed the b.u.t.ton for the 7th floor. In less than a minute, she arrived at the 7th floor and stepped out of the elevator, and made her way to Fu Hua's door.

Feng Alix came straight from the airport because she was sure Fu Hua would be back from work.

Since Fu Hua would sometimes stay at the Fu house, she planned that if she didn't see him, she would lie naked in his bed and send him her nudes, and then, he would have to come over to see her.

On getting to Fu Hua's door, Feng Alix keyed in Fu Hua's pa.s.sword. The door opened to her, and she walked in and closed the door behind her.

Feng Alix saw that the lights in the house were turned on. She guessed that Fu Hua was around, so she smiled as she thought to herself, 'perfect timing'

With a smiling gaze, she put her big handbag down before changing out of her shoes. She was too happy to notice that there were another pair of female shoes on the shoe rack.

After changing out of her shoes, Feng Alix picked up her bag and walked into the living room. She noticed some changes there, and the living room carried a different scent from the one she knew.

Feng Alix felt something was weird in the atmosphere, but she didn't dwell on it because she thought she was feeling weird since it's been more than a year since she last came around.

Feng Alix had just put her bag on the couch after bringing out the bottle of wine she bought for them when she heard a sound from the kitchen.

She turned her gaze towards that direction as she thought, 'Is he in the kitchen?'

Feng Alix smiled and put the wine on the table before she walked towards the kitchen in light steps.

Jia Li, on the other hand, was cooking in the kitchen when she heard the door make a sound, so she thought Fu Hua was back because he left to buy a pack of bottled water.

To Jia Li's surprise, Fu Hua didn't come into the kitchen after a while, so she decided to go and check.
