In between being worried about her, Fu Hua was angry with her for ignoring him.

He didn't think he has done anything wrong to her, so why would he receive the silent treatment out of the blue?

After school, Jia Li went straight to the hospital to get a test done.

Since she was a child, her mother would only give her drugs, after she had done a test to confirm what was wrong with her.

The reason her mother was always careful health-wise, was not because she was a nurse, but because taking the wrong medication, killed one of her relatives, and she also told Jia Li about it.

Since then, it got stuck in Jia Li's head that she shouldn't take any drugs without the doctor's prescription.

Although, she have learned one or two from her mum who was a nurse, Jia Li didn't dare to take drugs by herself because of it.

Jia Li registered her details and got the hospital card, before going to sit to wait for her turn to see the doctor.

After waiting for 30 minutes, it was her turn to see the doctor, so, she followed the nurse that called her, and walked into the office before going to sit before the doctor.

The middle-aged doctor glanced at Jia Li before bringing up her file.

"Miss Jia Li, it says here that you have a fever, headache, nausea, and vomiting, and you also feel a little weak and moody, am I right?"

Jia Li heard her report being read out and nodded in confirmation.

The doctor closed the file and asked, "Are you married?"

She couldn't see a ring on Jia Li's finger, because Jia Li doesn't wear her wedding ring to school.

Jia Li was taken aback by the question before replying slowly, as she wondered the reason for that question.

"Yes."

"Good." The doctor responded as her facial expression lightened up.

"When was the last time you saw your period?" The doctor asked with a kind gaze fixed on Jia Li.

Jia Li's heart skipped a beat because the doctors' question got her thinking back to the last time she had her period.

Checking back to the last time, Jia Li discovered that it has been a long time. She remembered that her last period came before she got married to Fu Hua.

Jia Li became a little scared when she thought about the possibility of being pregnant.

Seeing her lost in thought, the doctor had to call back her attention. "Miss Jia Li?"

Hearing her name, Jia Li came back to her senses and replied, "I saw my period last in the begining of the third week of September."

"Okay, when last did you have s*x with your husband?" The doctor asked.

Jia Li felt a little shy when that question was asked. She felt it was a private question that shouldn't be brought up.

The doctor smiled when she noticed how shy Jia Li was.

"It looks like you are pregnant, but we need to confirm it." The doctor said to her. Then turning to the nurse in the room, she said to her...

"Take her to get a pregnancy test done, then bring her back immediately after that."

"Yes, doctor." The nurse replied before asking Jia Li to follow her.

"Miss, come with me." The nurse said to Jia Li.

"Oh!" Jia Li replied with a nervous look on her face.

"You can leave your bag here." The doctor said to Jia Li with a smile.

"Thank you!" Jia Li replied before leaving her bag in the doctors' office and going out with the nurse.

Jia Li was so tensed as she followed the nurse to the lab to get the pregnancy test done.

"Miss, do you have your card or cash at hand to pay for the pregnancy test kit?" The Nurse asked politely.

"Money, I don't have any here, but I can ask from my relative." Jia Li quickly responded.

"Okay." The nurse replied before going ahead to take her blood and urine sample.

The pregnancy test kit was also purchased, and Jia Li made use of it.

After glancing at the screen of the kit, the nurse smiled, before bringing Jia Li back to the doctor's office.

Jia Li sat down, while the nurse handed the test kit to the doctor. Just like the nurse, a smile appeared on the doctor's face.

"When will the test results be out, tell them to hurry up with it." The doctor said to the nurse.

"I already urged them, so the result will be out in a few minutes. I will go and check on them now." The nurse replied before leaving the office again.

Jia Li, whose heartbeat has been beating very fast, couldn't resist the urge to question the doctor.

"Doctor, am I pregnant?" She asked, a little afraid of the result.

"Are you scared?" The doctor asked with a kind gaze directed at Jia Li.

"Is it wrong to be scared?" Jia Li asked after hesitating for a while.

"It's not wrong to be scared." The doctor said to her.

Jia Li felt a little relieved. But thinking back to the possibility of being pregnant, she didn't dare to relax again.

As she was thinking, a patient came in to see the doctor, and since it was an urgent case, the doctor asked her to sit over on a couch close to the door and wait for her.

After what felt like forever to Jia Li, which was only a few minutes, the nurse came back with her test results, and it was at that moment that the patient that was in the office, left.

The doctor called for Jia Li to come and sit before her.

As Jia Li sat down, the nurse handed her tests results to the doctor, who quickly opened it and glanced through it.

"Congratulations, Miss Jia Li, you are pregnant. You are already a month and a week-long gone." The doctor announced with a smile.
