When Fu Hua went into the room, he saw Jia Li sitting in front of his desk.

"What are you doing?" Fu Hua asked as he approached her.

"I'm trying to work on my new project." Jia Li replied without looking at him. Her concentration was on the empty page of the sketchbook in front of her.

"Won't you rest for today? You can start working on them tomorrow." Fu Hua said with creased brows. He didn't know the reason she wanted to start working on her project immediately even with the long time she was given for it.

"I had a nap earlier and I don't feel sleepy now." Jia Li replied.

After a little while of silence, Fu Hua said to her before walking inside the inner room, "Don't mind my mother's actions, I don't mind as well."

Jia Li glanced over in time to see Fu Hua's back disappear behind the door.

As his back completely disappeared, Jia Li looked back to the empty page right before her.

She surely did feel bad about the way Fu Hee treated her, but there was nothing she could do about it. She didn't even need to try to get her in her good books to know that she would never be accepted.

Since Fu Hua asked her not to mind his mother, then she wouldn't do it. And she thought she would be safer that way.

She didn't know how to fake a relations.h.i.+p, because it would be a waste of time, effort, and emotions.

When Fu Hua came out from the inner room, he joined Jia Li at the desk. He saw that she was still drawing the face of the model, and didn't say a word as he didn't want to distract her.

It wasn't long after Fu Hua sat at the desk, that Jia Li started to feel sleepy. She rubbed her eyes and continued scribbling on her sketchbook.

Fu Hua glanced at her and looked back to his system while saying, "If you're feeling sleepy, go to bed."

Jia Li glanced at him and replied, "I don't want to sleep now, I had a nap earlier."

Fu Hua raised his brows as he stared at her. "Go to bed if you're tired, don't force yourself. You have more than enough time for your project."

Jia Li sprawled on the desk and complained, "I don't think I have enough time. Two weeks it's not enough time to design a dress out of any vegetable of my choice, and then make a dress out of it."

Fu Hua stared at her in surprise, not because it was something new to him, but it was because it was something, like a method used to test the new designers in FJ sometimes.

He was indeed surprised that her school would use that kind of method on them. What a prestigious school befitting of its name.

"Have you chosen the vegetable your choice?" Fu Hua asked with an interesting gaze on her.

"Not yet, I'm confused." Jia Li replied as her mood turned sour.

She didn't know why she wasn't in a good mood, but she knew she was not ready to be subjected to stress.

At the moment, she was yet to take the important step in her project, which was to decide on the fruit or vegetable she wanted to work with.

"You can go to bed now, tomorrow morning, you can go into the kitchen for a survey. You might see the right vegetable or fruit that would be a good pick." Fu Hua suggested with concern.

Jia Li immediately sat upright and glanced at him. "That's a good idea. I'm going to sleep now, good night." She said before going straight to bed.

Fu Hua smiled before going back to his work. He was currently researching new trends in the fas.h.i.+on industry.

He worked till late into the night before turning off the lights and going to join her in bed.

The next morning, after was.h.i.+ng up, Jia Li went straight to the kitchen following Fu Hua's advice last night.

The servants and chefs preparing breakfast, we're surprised to see her in the kitchen. They bowed to her in greeting, while wondering what she came for.

Jia Li's servant saw her and smiled as she approached her.

"Miss, do you need anything?" She asked.

Jia Li recognized and asked with a long gaze, "Are there any vegetables here? Can I take a look?"

"Of course, come I will show you to the kitchen store." The servant said as she led Jia Li to another door inside the kitchen.

In there, it was cold. The temperature in the room was set to keep the vegetable and fruits fresh.

"Miss, the vegetables are here, you can take a look at them." The servant said while pointing at the vegetable arranged at the corner.

"Thank you!" Jia Li said to her with an appreciative smile.

"No trouble, Miss." her servant replied with a smile.

Jia Li took her time studying the vegetables. This was her first time inside the kitchen store, as nothing has ever brought her there.

The kitchen store was very big, and there were a lot of things in there, and the kitchen wasn't left behind.

The kitchen was big enough to prepare dishes for any wedding or ceremony.

While in the store, her servant helped her to hold up the vegetables and fruits, while she studied them.

At last, Jia Li chose the purple cabbage.

"I think I will work with this one!" Jia Li finally made her choice with a smile.

"Huh? Miss, do you need it for something important?" The servant asked curiously.

"Yes. Please bring it to me after breakfast." Jia Li instructed.

"Okay, Miss." Her servant replied.

"And, can you tell the kitchen to add a fresh vegetable salad for my breakfast?" Jia Li said to her, as the urge to eat some fresh vegetables came to her.

Maybe it's because she was in a vegetable store ????????

"Okay, Miss." Her servant replied with a smile.

When Jia Li came out from the kitchen, she felt relieved with the fact that she has finally picked a vegetable to work with, and with the fact that she was no longer feeling cold.
