FangSu glanced at her phone and tries to dial Bai Jun's number again but she heard approaching footsteps and looked up. On seeing her big brother, she became tense and quickly hid her phone behind her.

Fu Hua glanced at her before walking past her with his phone in hand. He didn't say anything to her and that made FangSu feel relieved.

She held her chest in her hand and calmed down before going back to the party. She didn't bother to try Bai Jun's contact again. She was already scared for her life when she saw him.

The party that was being held in the Fu Villa was wrapped up by 7 pm. Jasmine was still too young, so she couldn't stay outside for a long time because of insects like mosquitoes and sun flies. So, once it was 6:30 pm, Jia Li carried her inside the house.

The little girl was truly on her best behavior tonight. When she was hungry as the party was going on, Grandfather Fu fed her from her bottle to the amazement of other family members.

FangSu was so jealous that she couldn't watch the loving sight. She moved her face away and stared at something else she felt was more important.

After Jia Li took Jasmine back to her and Fu Hua's bedroom and laid her on the big bed.

"My sweetie pie, you were so obedient today." Jia Li said with a smile as she held the little girl's fists before leaning in to plant a kiss on her cheek.

Jasmine smiled at her and kicked her little hands and feet as she cooed.

"You're so cute. Now, it's time for you to have your bath..." Jia Li said to her as she touched her soft cheeks.

Jasmine kicked her feet and immediately reached out to touch her hands with an excited look on her face.

"Huh! It looks like you really want to have a night bath. Wait, I will take off your clothes." Jia Li said happily as she started to remove the little girl's dress.

She started by taking off her socks and while she was doing that, Housekeeper Zu came out from the inner room to tell her the thing for Jasmine's bath was ready.

"Okay, we will be there in 3 minutes." Jia Li replied before glancing back at her cute daughter who was all smiles.

After taking off her clothes, Jia Li lifted her in her arms and rubbed her bottom as she walked towards the inner room with Housekeeper Zu following behind them.

Walking into the huge washroom where everything for Jasmine's bath has been set, Jia Li handed Jasmine over to housekeeper Zu.

Jia Li was still dressed in her outfit as she watched her daughter having a bath.

While Jasmine's face was being washed, the little girl got uncomfortable and tried to move her face away with a frown.

Jia Li couldn't let the obedient streak she has been keeping be ruined during her bath time, so she started singing to her.

Housekeeper Zu was quick to finish was.h.i.+ng Jasmine's face and only then did the little girl relax and put her fingers in her mouth to lick them.

After bathing, Jasmine was clothed in an overall baby dress. Jia Li liked her scent and couldn't help burying her face in her daughter's neck just to inhale more of her scent.

Jasmine had her eyes glued on her mother's hair when she came close. Because of their posture, the little girl couldn't reach out to touch her mother's hair as she was curious about it.

When Housekeeper Zu was done clearing Jasmine's bath stuff, she left the mother and daughter pair. And not long after, Fu Hua walked in.

"It's a relief that you're here." Jia Li said with her smiling gaze on him.

"Is she crying?" Fu Hua asked as he approached their side.

"No, in fact, it's the opposite. She is very active now and you need to play with her while I go have a bath." Jia Li said to him with a smile.

"Sure." Fu Hua said with a smile. He was more than happy to play with his daughter.

As he attempted to carry the little girl, Jia Li stopped him, "If you carry her, you may not be able to put her down. Your daughter loves attention."

"It doesn't matter. I wouldn't want to put her down either." Fu Hua replied and went on to carry the little girl in his arms.

Sometimes, putting Jasmine down would be a problem. She likes cuddles and her father made her used to them because he was always holding her.

Jia Li went to freshen up and came back some minutes later to take the little bun from him, so he could go and have his bath.

"Jasmine, it's time for you to eat and sleep." Jia Li said as she sat on the couch with the little girl who cooed while gazing at her with a smile.

Jasmine who was very excited, got serious when her mother brought out her food. Her little hands moved over to hold her breast before she quickly put her mouth on it and started sucking.

As Jia Li was serious about putting Jasmine to sleep, she caressed her back and sang to her while breastfeeding her.

By the time Fu Hua stepped into the room, Jasmine's eyes were closed. And before he could say anything, Jia Li gave him a sign to be quiet.

Jia Li breastfed Jasmine for a few more minutes to be sure she was already deep into sleep, before placing her in her crib.

"Come here." Fu Hua said to Jia Li with a smile as he stood with his hands spread and ready for a hug.

Jia Li smiled and walked towards him to embrace him.

"You're a good mother to our daughter. And you learned quickly to get into your role as a mother." Fu Hua said as he kissed her forehead.

"Of course, I have to try my best to be a good mother to our daughter." Jia Li replied with her eyes closed. She felt so secure in his embrace.
