"What! why?" Fu Hua asked with a surprised gaze. He never thought that she would be interested in that kind of tough compet.i.tion where probably the best of them all will compete to get into FJ.

He had already prepared to get her into FJ without stress and he was waiting for her to be ready and for Jasmine to get a little older, where she can cope a little without her mother's presence all the time.

"This compet.i.tion is going to be tough but it will help to unlock more hidden potential that I may not be aware of. The compet.i.tion will be fun, as I get to use my head, you know, I haven't used it in a long while." Jia Li answered.

Fu Hua put his hand on his forehead and said, "You don't have to do that. I have already prepared a contract invitation for you, I was only waiting for you to be ready before I hand it over to you."

Jia Li looked confused at first, then a thought scrambled into her head, "Are you saying FJ would send me an official invitation to work with them when I'm ready?"

"Exactly, so you don't need to go through all that troubles. The media knows that we are interested in working with you, so you will make waves once you accept our invite." Fu Hua said with a smile.

"This is such a good opportunity. For FJ to send a contract invitation directly to me, this is an honor, you really went all out for me." Jia Li said with an appreciative smile.

"You can't let my hard work be in vain. You have to think about this matter, I will give you enough time to make the decision, in case you are confused on which road to go to." Fu Hua said with a serious gaze.

Jia Li waved her hands and said, "No, there is no need to waste more time on this, I have made my decision and I know what's good for me. I will have to reject your offer. I want to work my way to FJ and not sent a contract invitation because my husband is the Boss. Thank you for your hard work."

After saying that, Jia Li turned to walk away but Fu Hua was fast enough to grab her hand.

"You can't join this compet.i.tion, I am worried about you. What about Jasmine, you won't have time to spend with her once the compet.i.tion starts." Fu Hua said in a gentle tone.

Jia Li leaned over with a smile that was not a smile. She gazed into his eyes and said in a low tone, "What are you afraid of? Are you worried that I won't get in if I join the compet.i.tion? Or are you truly worried about the stress I would have to go through during the compet.i.tion?"

Fu Hua was tongue-tied for a moment. He didn't know how to reply to her. Initially, he was worried she would be stressed during the compet.i.tion, so he didn't want her to join. But now that she mentioned losing, he was thinking if he was scared of that too.

Seeing how quiet he was, Jia Li got angry and hit his hand away. "Don't try to stop me, I will get into FJ through the compet.i.tion. Tell me if you don't want me working in FJ, so I can think of other plans for myself. But if you don't mind me working in FJ, then let me get in through my means."

After saying that, Jia Li walked away in quick steps. She was so angry at him when she thought of the possibility that he didn't trust that she can get into FJ through that compet.i.tion.

"Jia Li wait! When did things come to this?!" Fu Hua asked with creased brows. He could tell his wife was angry at him and it has been a long time since she was that angry.

Fu Hua didn't chase after her. He remained sitting with a big frown on his face. He also felt a bit annoyed that his wife didn't appreciate the method he developed to get her into FJ instead she chose the tough path.

Jia Li went straight to find Jasmine who was having a good time with Housekeeper Zu. Jia Li carried the little girl and went straight for her bedroom.

She asked a servant to bring two servings of food to her bedroom and when the servant did so, she chased everyone away and locked the door to her bedroom.

The innocent little girl that lay in her carrier, had her gaze fixed on her mother. She looked curious as to what her mother was up to.

"Jasmine, I fought with your father, I am angry with him and don't want to talk to him anymore. He is looking down on me and I don't find that funny. Even if anyone would do that, at least not him. I am so disappointed!" Jia Li said as she carried her little bun in her arms.

Jasmine babbled and reached out her salivary hands to touch her mother's face. "Do you agree with me? You're disappointed, right? Good. So we are going to stay here till he agrees to let me do what I want."

Jasmine continued to babble and reached out to touch her mother's eyes but Jia Li was fast enough to shut them.

Jia Li moved the little girl she was holding unto a little distance away from her, before she opened her eyes.

"You little girl did your father send you to make me blind?" Jia Li asked with a frown.

Jasmine stopped babbling for a moment and continued again with her gaze on her mother as she put her fingers in her mouth.

"You are the cutest girl I know." Jia Li said with a smile before leaning in to kiss the bundle of cuteness on both cheeks.

Jasmine giggled and moved her hands about. Jia Li hugged the little girl for a while before laying her in her cot to change her diapers.

"Mum, is going to wash your bottom, let's go!" Jia Li said with a smile as she lifted the cute little girl in the air, before laying her on her chest.

Together, the mother and daughter went into the bathroom, so the little girl could have her bottom washed.
