Chapter 473: Jasmine wakes Jia Li from sleep

Fu Hua's worry came to reality. After personally bringing dinner for her, he went into the bathroom to check up on her, only to see that she had fallen asleep. She was in fact sleeping so soundly.

Fu Hua immediately rushed to her side and lifted from the bathtub while calling out to her.

"This little woman, I told you not to fall asleep in the bathtub, why don't you listen!" Fu Hua berated her.

Fu Hua was angry for the risk Jia Li took by sleeping in the bathtub but he was also as much worried about her, so right now, his facial expression was laced with worry as he cleaned her with a towel and quickly wrapped a bathrobe around her body.

"I'm sorry I was so tired." Jia Li replied with her eyes closed as she wrapped her hands around his neck when he lifted her in his arms.

Fu Hua didn't say anything anymore as he felt relieved that her head didn't slip into the bathtub while he was away. He carried Jia Li into the walk-in closet and helped her to get dressed before carrying her into the bedroom to have dinner.

"I'm okay." Jia Li said as she wedged Fu Hua's hand. This was the fifth spoon of food she was eating and she was already saying that she was satisfied.

"How can you be okay when you haven't eaten anything? Don't worry, I won't force you to eat too much, just finish this small bowl of food and I will let you sleep." Fu Hua said to her in a gentle tone. He knew she just wanted to sleep, so she said she didn't want to eat anymore.

Jia Li frowned and opened her eyes slowly. She looked so annoyed while staring at Fu Hua.

"I really don't want to eat." She insisted.

Looking at how annoyed and sleepy his little wife was, Fu Hua said to her, "Okay, just eat 2 more spoons and I will let you go. I'm only worried that you are not eating properly."

Since he said 2 more spoons, then she will eat two more spoons of food and then go straight to sleep.

Later, Jia Li regretted agreeing to eat the two spoons of food he gave to her because they were worth 5 spoons instead.

Jia Li who wanted to complain couldn't do that because Fu Hua diverted her attention.

"Give your daughter a good night kiss before going to bed." Fu Hua reminded her.

"I almost forgot about my baby." Jia Li said as she made her way towards the bed and quickly got into it.

"Jasmine, I missed you so much!" Jia Li said as she kissed the little bun's cheeks before pulling her to into her arms. The little bun moved uncomfortably in her arms before resting comfortably after recognizing her warmth.

Fu Hua sighed as he watched the mother and daughter snuggled against each other. He really felt bad for the mother and daughter. He was beginning to regret while he spoke to Jia Li that way before, as it was one of the things that contributed to her working tirelessly.

After sending the plate away, Fu Hua came back and picked up Jia Li's handbag and took out her phone from it. Next, he unlocked and went straight to her clock to turn off all the alarms she set.

When Fu Hua joined the mother and daughter on the bed, he hugged Jia Li from behind and kissed her before whispering gently to her ears, "You work so hard, take it easy."

The next morning, Fu Hua and the little bun woke up before Jia Li. When Jasmine woke up and saw her mother sleeping beside her, it took her a while before she recognized who she was since was a little sleepy and was not used to waking up to see her mother these past few days.

Fu Hua smiled when he saw the little girl staring at her sleeping mother. He encouraged her to kiss her mother and hug her as a form of greeting and when Jasmine did that, Jia Li moved in her sleep but that didn't wake her up. She felt disturbed and turned her back on the little bun.

"Māmā..." Jasmine said in a soft tone as she glanced at her mother's back. The little bun seemed surprised at the response she received from her mother.

Fu Hua couldn't help chuckling at the cute facial expression on his daughter's face. He went to her side and lifted her while saying in a low tone, "Good morning, Princess."

"Daddy..." Jasmine called out and pointed at her sleeping mother. She was asking about her mother and why she was still sleeping.

"Your Mummy is tired, let's allow her to sleep for a little mothe but till then, Daddy is going to bath you and change you into your new clothes." Fu Hua said before carrying the little girl away.

Without her alarm ringing, Jia Li slept until 7:15 AM. Actually, it was Jasmine that woke her up. After having her bath and changing into a new set of clothes, the little bun climbed on top of the bed with the help of her father and went straight to her mother to wake her up.

As Jia Li slowly opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the little head that was right in front of her face.

"Jasmine?" She called out with a slight frown and when her eyes opened clearly, she was able to see her daughter's face very well.

Jasmine smiled brightly and pounced on her mother. The little bun was very happy now that her mother had finally opened her eyes.

As Jia Li slowly sat up, she let out a sneeze.

"Did you catch a cold last night?" Fu Hua asked from the side. Jia Li just woke up and was yet to take a good look at her surrounding, so when she heard Fu Hua's voice, she was a bit surprised seeing him and knowing that he had been standing there all this while.

Seeing her calm gaze resting on him, Fu Hua walked towards the bed and placed his hand on her forehead to check her body temperature. Seeing as everything was normal, he said to her, "You look fine but cover up completely, the weather is cold and you spiced things up a bit by falling asleep in the bathtub last night."
