A middle-aged man, who looked like the first daughter of the Huang family said with a frown, "Qin family? That sounds like the surname of the guy Li eloped with years ago."

"If Li's child, is actually Qin Jia Li, then that means that she is truly dead and we were not aware of that." The first son said with his fingers tapping the table.

"What? Li is dead?" Old Mrs. Huang asked as her eyes became teary. She couldn't believe that her daughter who she hasn't seen for so many years was dead. This news came as a shock to her.

The third daughter became worried seeing her mother's tears.

"Mum, we haven't confirmed the ident.i.ty of the girl, so we are not sure she is Li's daughter but if she is, then I am afraid that Li is dead already since the girl said a tribute to her late parents on stage."

"No! My daughter can't die like that! She promised to take care of herself!" Old Mrs. Huang said in tears. She was truly disheartened to hear this sorrowful news.

"What are you shedding tears for? To me, Li died that same day she eloped with that man. She caused such a huge embarra.s.sment between us and the Chu family!" Old Mr. Huang said in anger.

He was not touched to hear whether his second daughter was alive or not because to him, she has been dead for so many years.

Old Mrs. Huang got angry and said in a raised tone, "Old Huang, you caused the whole embarra.s.sment! Li rejected the marriage but you insisted and went on to print wedding cards, what kind of father does that!"

Old Mrs. Huang who was disappointed with her husband of so many years and who was also sad with the sorrowful news she just got, broke out in tears.

Seeing their mother in tears, they had to abandon their anger to comfort her, while their grown-up children watched on.
