In the Fu House, things were going differently. Fu Hua, YingPei and Ling had just returned home after going out to party. It was a bachelorette party Fu Hua's friend that just come back to the country, threw for him.

The party was fun and as if knowing his friend very well, he (Fu Hua's friend) did not invite any ladies to the party.

Fu Hua, YingPei and Ling came back in time for dinner.

As the male family members were sitting at the dinner table and enjoying their supper, Grandfather Fu paused with eating and held his chopsticks ? in his hands and fixed his gaze on YingPei and Ling.

"Have you two found your partners?" He asked.

YingPei paused with the food in his mouth for two seconds before continuing to eat. His heartbeats had already increased by a few times with that question from his grandfather.

Fu Ling was no better. How could he reply to his grandfather when he totally forgot the instruction he gave out the other time because he was carried away with work?

Fu Lei and Fu Geming glanced at their sons with interest. They were also interested to know if they had finally found a partner.

Seeing as they were not attempting to answer his question, Grandfather Fu cleared his throat and put his chopsticks down with a little noise.

YingPei and Fu Ling flinched and immediately stopped eating to look at him. Knowing that the truth could not save them at this hour, they both chorused a lie tactically.

"Yes, grandfather!"

Grandfather Fu moved his gaze from YingPei to Ling, and then to YingPei before picking up his chopsticks.

"Bring them to me after the wedding reception." He said and resumed eating.

YingPei and Ling glanced at each other but couldn't continue eating as if nothing just happened. They totally forgot about their grandfather's instructions and didn't make any effort to woo a woman.

The two Fu brothers lost their appet.i.te but they had to force themselves to eat a few more spoons of food before leaving the dinner table.

Fu Hua knew that his brother and cousin just lied to the old man but there was nothing he could do to help them, as he believed they could sort themselves out.

After YingPei and Ling left the dinner table, they met in the hallway to ask each other the same question that had been in their mind since their old man asked about their partners.

"Do you have a woman to bring to the wedding tomorrow?" YingPei asked with creased brows.

"I was about to ask you the same question. I don't have anybody to bring because I totally forgot about it." Ling replied in a frustrated tone.

"I didn't ask any girl out. I don't hang out much as I used to do before and there is no lady that I have a close relations.h.i.+p with." YingPei said with a sigh.

"So, what are we going to do? Grandfather will surely be mad at us if we don't show him our partners." Fu Ling said with a frown.

The truth is that both of them are not ready to settle down. One was still busy building his company, while the other one was only thinking about living his single life for some time.

YingPei was quiet for a while before saying, "You have a female a.s.sistant and she is single. Why don't you ask her to act out a play with you, I mean she can pretend to be your girlfriend just for tomorrow."

Fu Ling didn't like that idea so he countered it. "I don't want to have that kind of relations.h.i.+p with my worker, that image is not going to look good."

"Are you still thinking about your image? At least, there is a solution for you. I can't ask a colleague at work to pretend to be my girlfriend, my brother will kill me first." YingPei said.

"It's good that you know not to cross the line." Fu Hua said as he walked towards them. He managed to hear a little of their discussion on his way to his bedroom.

"Brother...." YingPei said with a pretentious smile. He didn't know how much of their discussion he heard but it's good he didn't say anything wrong.

Fu Hua stopped in his steps when he got to their side, then he glanced at Fu Ling before looking at YingPei.

"Do you think you can deceive grandfather? Get ready to date any woman you bring to him." After saying this to them, he was about to walk away when he remembered something. He fixed his gaze on YingPei and said, "Jia Li has 3 friends, you can choose one of them to date. If you don't handle things properly, I will cut off your fingers."

'My fingers?' YingPei muttered to himself in horror as he glanced at his precious fingers.

After Fu Hua had left, YingPei and Ling talked for a short while before leaving for their various bedrooms.

Now that they have seen they are not left with many choices, they have to become serious.

Fu Ling checked the time and saw it was already past 8 pm. It was late but he still found his secretary's contact and phoned her.

Immediately she answered the call, he didn't wait for her greetings and immediately said to her, "I want you to be my partner for my cousin's wedding tomorrow."

Thinking that it was just the normal role she always plays during business meetings, she readily agreed to it. Fu Ling knew what she was thinking but he didn't clarify the situation. If he told her the truth now, she may become tense and may refuse him.

"Send me your measurements and address, I will send your outfit early tomorrow morning." Fu Ling said to her.

After making the arrangements on his side, Fu Ling could finally shut his eyes to sleep. As for YingPei, he wasn't close to any of Jia Li's friends and what he was thinking was who he would ask out. Since this has something to do with his sister-in-law, he had to be very serious.

YingPei has interacted a little with Jia Li's friends during Jasmine's first birthday party but he wasn't that close with them.. Asking one of them out is going to be weird but it's not like he had another option.
