When the guests were almost about to finish eating, gifts were handed to them in a special well-packaged fancy bag.

When Jia Li's coworkers each got the fancy bag, they smiled heartily and immediately took a peek inside the bag.

Linda shook her head and said to them, "Can you at least not embarra.s.s yourselves?"

"At this point, I don't know what embarra.s.sment is. If we were not here, I would have opened this bag properly to see the gifts inside and I'm sure it's something worth a lot of money." One of them said with a big smile on her face.

Another said. "I really have to thank Jia Li properly when she resumes work for inviting us to her wedding. There was no special treatment here, we were all treated equally with the important guests."

Sunny and other FJ departmental heads were sitting at a different table, watching the performance on the stage.

At last, when the wedding reception came to an end, Fu Hua made a closing remark and after that, grandfather Fu came up on stage to say something to the guests.

Grandfather Fu was still highly respected and valued by his country, so honor and respect were always given to him wherever he appeared.

After the wedding reception ended, most of the guests didn't leave immediately. They went to greet the Fu family and the latest couple.

The Huang family went to see Jia Li and Fu Hua, before going to the Fu family's table to greet them. Because of time and the distance they would have to travel back to, they couldn't stay for a long time.

Before the Huang family left, Jia Li introduced them to her little bun.

"This is my daughter, Da Xia." Jia Li said with a smile as she gazed at the little girl clutching her feet and refusing to let go.

Jasmine was not always comfortable when strangers got close to her, so she would always try to avoid them, just like right now.

Old Mrs. Huang smiled and said to Jia Li after staring happily at the little girl. "Da Xia is beautiful. She inherited the good genes from you and her father."

"Jasmine, this is great-grandmother Huang. Say h.e.l.lo to her." Jia Li said to the little girl but instead of obeying her mother, the little girl glanced at the Huang family before looking away.

Jia Li smiled apologetically. "I'm sorry, Jasmine doesn't feel comfortable being around a crowd and people she is unfamiliar with."

Old Mrs. Huang and her family chuckled heartily before the old lady spoke up. "What's there to be sorry about, Da Xia's action is right. It's good to react this way towards people she is not familiar with, it is a good way for self-defense."

"Jia Li, take care. We have to leave now but we will keep in touch." The first daughter of the Huang family said with a smile.

"Thank you for coming." Jia Li said to them with a warm smile but the third daughter frowned and said, "Why are you thanking us? We should be the ones thanking you for inviting us to your wedding."

Jia Li smiled without saying anything. Just before walking away, the first son of the Huang family dipped his hands into his trouser pocket and brought out a red packet before handing it to Jasmine.

"This is the gift we especially prepared for her." He said with a small smile.

Jasmine glanced at his hand but glanced back at her mother for approval. Jasmine only took the red packet from him after her mother gave her permission to take it.

After taking the red packet from him, she said thank you in her cute little voice before fiddling with the red packet.

Jia Li thanked her uncle and wanted to walk them out but they refused, so she stayed back with the little girl before Fu Hua joined them.

Immediately Jasmine saw her father, she ran to him and showed him the red packet she got as a gift.

Fu Hua was all smiles as he lifted her in his arms before asking who gave the red packet to her. Jasmine had no idea of who they were, so she pointed at her mother with her little finger.

Fu Hua kissed her cheeks and asked, "Mummy gave it to you?" Jasmine shook her head in a negative affirmation.

Jia Li smiled and walked up to them and explained on the little girl's behalf, "The Huang family gave it to her."

"Have they left?" Fu Hua asked. "Yes, just now." Jia Li replied with a smile.

YingPei walked up to Jia Li's friends and pulled Daiyu away by the arms after taking permission from DanDan and Chang Chang whom she was chatting with.

Daiyu allowed him to pull her aside and asked, "Where are you taking me to?"

"My grandfather is alone now, let's go and meet him." YingPei said in reply as he released her arm and took her hand and walked towards the old man that was sitting with the remaining family members.

"Why are you in a hurry, what if your grandfather doesn't like me?" Daiyu asked. With the way, he was pulling her, made it look like he was impatient.

YingPei said. "You are one of my sister-in-law's closest friends and that is enough reason for my grandfather to like you."

"Oh!" Daiyu exclaimed and continued following after him.

Daiyu, DanDan and Chang Chang were already aware of how much the Fu family cherished Jia Li, especially Grandfather Fu but to Daiyu's surprise, the old man would accept anyone related to Jia Li without any investigation.

Actually, it was not just those that were related to Jia Li that he would accept but those that she had a good relations.h.i.+p with.

For now, Daiyu couldn't say she was lucky to meet YingPei because she still didn't know anything about him, apart from just his name and his relations.h.i.+p with the Fu family.. Until they come to know each other very well, she can't say that she is lucky to have met YingPei.
