Chapter 56 - Is Grandfather Fu Trying To Fatten Me Up?

Grandfather Fu interacted with Jia Li for a while and she immediately got accustomed to him.

While interacting with the old man, it dwelled on her that he was still the same Grandfather she saved, and interacted with back in her hometown.

Grandfather Fu was relaxed when he noticed that Jia Li was now comfortable with him just like before, so he asked her to call her 'Grandfather ' directly.

"There's no need to add Fu, just call me Grandfather."

Jia Li was worried it wasn't proper, but she could only follow the Old man's orders because she wanted to make him happy.

Grandfather Fu didn't speak with Jia Li for a long time, before asking a servant he arranged personally for her, during her stay there, to send her to the bedroom arranged for her.

"Just go to your room and relax. I'm the only person at home now. I will introduce you to the rest of the family members at dinner. If you eat anything, don't forget to tell your personal servant." Grandfather Fu reminded her.

"Thank you, grandfather." Jia Li said gratefully as a smile bloomed on her face.

"Go on, don't forget to call your parents, I know they must be worried about you." Grandfather Fu said to her, before finally letting her off.

The servant a.s.signed to Jia Li carried her luggage ???? for her and escorted her to the room Fu Hee prepared for her.

Jia Li was marveled at the sight. She couldn't believe that such a big room was prepared for her. The room exuded these feminine chills.

She could tell the room was prepared for her and not just randomly given to her. She felt happy at being treated very well.

"Miss, this is your room, and this is your walk-in closet." The servant said as she pushed the door open and led her into the walk-in closet.

The walk-in closet was big, and it was basically open apart from the two nighties and flip-flops Fu Hee bought for her.

"I like it." Jia Li said with a smile.

She saw that the servant was unpacking her things, so she wanted to help her, but she was stopped.

"Miss, this is my job, I will do it." The servant said as she completely helped Jia Li to unpack her things.

Jia Li could only stand aside and watch the servant help her out.

After helping her to unpack, the servant took her to the bathroom and showed her how to use some of the things there.

Jia Li was grateful to her and thanked her.

"Miss, you can relax. If there is anything, I will come to you." The servant said before leaving, but not without helping her to prepare a bath.

When the servant left, Jia Li took another look around her room. She was excited and couldn't help touring the room by herself alone.

"Mum and Dad must be worried about me!." Jia Li said as she gave her parents a call.

Because of Jia Li, her Parents took a day off to send her off. Now finally receiving a call from their daughter, they answered the call immediately and struggled to put their head on the phone, so they could see their daughter properly since it was a video call.

"Mum, Dad, I am at the Fu Mansion." Jia Li announced with excitement in her voice.

Jia Li ended up touring her parents around her room, and they spoke for over 20 minutes.

Jia Li's parents were happy with the arrangement of the Old man-made for their daughter. Now, they could rest a.s.sured that she was in safe hands.

Jia Li promised to call her parents at night, before ending the call.

Looking around her room one more time, Jia Li smiled brightly and kept her phone aside, before walking into the bathroom to have a bath.

In the bathroom, everything was already set up for her. Because of the Old man's order, Fu Hee made sure to get quality feminine products and toiletries for Jia Li.

From the soap, towel, body cream to every other thing she would be needing, were provided for her.

Jia Li felt a settlement in her heart, as we entered the bathtub to bathe in the hot water that had already been prepared for her.

Jia Li didn't feel like getting out of the bath, but she had to, as the water was turning cold.

Jia Li changed into one of her clothes that were already in the hanger, before walking out and going to pick her phone.

She sat on the bed and felt how comfortable it was.

"It's nice to be rich." She said to herself.

She opened her gallery and glanced at the pictures she took her parents before embarking on her journey and smiled.

A few minutes later, a knock was heard on her door, so Jia Li went to open the door without asking.

"Miss, you could have just asked me to come in instead of troubling yourself." The servant that served her earlier said, as she walked in with a food cart.

Jia Li could only agree with her, as she had nothing else to say. But once she glanced at the food cart, she was shocked.

Seeing her facial expression, the servant found it funny but dared not to laugh.

"Miss, Old Mr. Fu ordered the kitchen to prepare these for you. He doesn't know what you like, so he had the chefs prepare a little of everything."

"What's all these? Is Grandfather Fu trying to fatten me up?." Jia Li asked with a look of astonishment.

Her voice sounded funny, without any hint of disrespect.

"Miss, relax and eat. I will be back later to get the list of your favorite food."

And with that, the servant left the bedroom to her.

Jia Li glanced at the Food cart and felt a headache coming.

"Would be okay to eat a little and abandon the rest?." She asked herself as she sat at the foot of the bed.

She didn't have the heart to waste the food, but she also couldn't finish it. Even if it was her entire family that faced the food cart, they still would be unable to finish it!
