Chapter 58 - Their Fate Has Been Sealed

As Jia Li approached the dining area with the Old man, all eyes turned towards their direction.

Everybody knew the old man's guest had arrived already, so everybody was curious about her and wanted to know and see who she was.

To their surprise, they saw a young lady who was simply dressed and holding the old man's hand. They began to wonder how important she was to the Old man.

They didn't see anything special in Jia Li, so they were close to being disappointed. They couldn't wait for the Old man to introduce her to them.

Jia Li felt nervous and shy at the curious gazes that were directed at her. The Old man noticed she was nervous, so he patted her palm and glanced at her with a smile.

Jia Li smiled back at him and walked with him to his set.

Butler Gu set out the old man's seat for him, and Jia Li escorted him to sit.

"Miss, please." Butler Gu said as he gestured to Jia Li with a smile. He already drew out a seat for her at the Old man's left side.

Jia Li murmured a word of thanks as she went to sit on the chair.

When Fu Hua and YingPei saw Jia Li's face at a close range, they were both surprised that she was their grandfather's important guest.

Fu Hua glanced at her, but the surprise was only evident in his heart, while YingPei couldn't hide his facial expression.

Seeing that she was settled, the old man cleared his throat as he introduced Jia Li to the rest of the people.

"This is my distinguished guest, Qin Jia Li. She is my lifesaver. Without her, I wouldn't be alive. Jia Li, this is my family."

Then, the Old man went all out to introduce every member of the Fu Family to Jia Li one by one.

When they heard the Old man's introduction, they now knew who Jia Li was, her role, and how she met their Old man.

"h.e.l.lo! Miss Jia Li, it's good to see you again!." Fu YingPei said to Jia Li with a smile as he waved at her ????.

"h.e.l.lo!." Jia Li said with a smile as she waved back at YingPei.

She recognized him, and also the young man sitting beside him, Fu Hua. She noticed the man was without any facial expression. Their eyes met, and he looked away with a blank look.

'Is he usually this cold?.' Jia Li thought to herself.

Fu Hua didn't glance at Jia Li again after their eyes met just now.

He was acting this way, without knowing that their fate has been sealed.

Fu Meixu and Fu Ling greeted Jia Li and the latter greeted them with a smile.

"Jia Li, welcome to the Fu Family." Fu Hee said to Jia Li with a warm smile.

Although the girl was ordinary and came from a simple family, but seeing that the Old man valued her this much, she will of course treat her well.

This idea didn't just come to her, but Fu ChunHua and Fu Meixu.

They were not stupid and knew how much the Old man valued Jia Li, so they will of course try to get close to her, and be nice to her in other to rip some benefits during her stay.

If the Old man saw how nice they were being to his guest, they would get into his good books.

"Jia Li, feel comfortable. If you need anything, you can ask me, or my daughter Meixu. You girls should be of the same age, so it's easy for you two to interact." Fu ChunHua said to Jia Li with a smile.

"Thank you, Aunty." Jia Li replied with a smile.

Fu Hee frowned a little, but she made sure to mask it well.

She was a little angry that Fu ChunHua was carrying herself like the Mistress of the house. She was playing her role and trying to curry favor.

Fu Hee sneered in her heart.

Old Mr. Fu was satisfied with how everybody warmed up to Jia Li, except for his first grandson, Fu Hua, who refused to say a word.

Old Mr. Fu didn't mind him. Then he gestures to everybody to eat.

Almost immediately, everybody picked their cutlery and began to eat.

During their dinner, Jia Li noticed that n.o.body said a word, as everybody is silent. She was used to making small talks with her parents while eating. But she could see the huge difference between the Fu Family and her little Qin family.

Old Mr. Fu put two pieces of meat for Jia Li in her bowl and said to her with a smile.

"Eat."

"Thank you, Grandfather." Jia Li replied in a smooth tiny voice, so the rest did not hear her addressing the Old man that way.

Till the end of dinner, the Old man kept putting food in Jia Li's place. He did that because he noticed she wasn't eating much, probably because she was not comfortable eating with strangers, so he had to do that for her to eat more.

What a thoughtful Old man!

His actions caused the female family members to solidify their plans to get close to Jia Li, in their head, except for Fu Juan.

After dinner, the servants came and cleared their plates.

"Miss Jia Li, are you still in college?." Fu Meixu asked with a smile. She was trying to strike up a conversation with her.

Jia Li glanced at her and replied politely. "Yes."

"Which city?." Fu ChunHua asked.

"******* University." Jia Li replied.

Fu ChunHua already knew her family background wasn't that good, so she wasn't surprised when she heard the name of her college.

"What's your major?." Fu Meixu asked.

"Fas.h.i.+on and Designing." Fu YingPei replied.

"Yes," Jia Li said in agreement with his words.

"Cousin, how did you know?." Fu Meixu asked curiously.

"Have you forgotten that I went to visit grandfather when he was hospitalized after the accident?." Fu YingPei replied.

"Oh!." Fu Meixu said in understanding.
