Since the person they were looking for was here, Old Mr. Guang could no longer ask them to leave.

When Guang Bo learned the reason the Huang family were in his home was to see him, he sat on the couch with a bit of surprise.

There was no time to waste since Mr. Guang had already taken much of their time. Most of them had other appointments for the day, but they were all canceled because of Huang Li's matter.

The first son of the Huang family was the person that explained their reason for finding him. When Guang Bo heard about Huang Li's pa.s.sing, there was a notable change in his emotions.

He looked a little hurt about her pa.s.sing, and this was not supposed to be so in the real sense, because Huang Li ran away with another man a few days before their engagement.

On a normal note, he wasn't supposed to be moved by her pa.s.sing after the humiliation he and his family had to go through unless there was more to their relations.h.i.+p, and he didn't hold any grudge against her.

As Mr. Huang's first son continued speaking, he got to the part where the found out about Jia Li's father not being her biological father.

Guang Bo did not say anything. He remained quiet and listened to him speak, and his thoughts remained only known to himself.

After presenting the real reason they came looking for him, Old Mr. Huang took over, much to his old friend's displeasure.

"Guang Bo, I remembered that you were a little close to Li before she left, so I came to ask you if you know anything about Li's relations.h.i.+p with anyone else?"

Mr. Guang could not relax at this point. He pointed a finger at Mr. Huang and spoke up, "Huang, how do you expect my son to know about your daughter's affairs?! Shouldn't you go and find her friends?!"

"Dad, Li is not that kind of person!" Guang Bo interrupted immediately. His tone was so heavy which clearly stated how angry he was.

"How do you know she is not like that? Did you also know that she was going to run away with another man a few days before your engagement with her?!" Old Mr. Guang asked with a death glare, but the response he got, was shocking.

"Yes, I knew about it!" Guang Bo replied.

"What do you mean by that?!" Old Mr. Guang asked with furrowed brows while the Huang family watched and listened attentively to what Guang Bo had to say.

Guang Bo covered his face with his hands, and the next moment, he took his hands away from his face, and his eyeball was already reddened.

The feeling of guilt, while he watched his father accuse Huang Li for so many years, has long eaten him up, but no more, because he was ready to confess his sins.

He was ready for redemption, no matter how little he would receive. His grave mistakes in the past were something he couldn't take back, and now that he was courageous to spill the truth, he was also ready to bear the consequences.

"I knew that Li was not going to go through with our engagement, not after what I did to her!"

"What… what did you do to her?" Old Mrs. Huang inquired with a little fear in her voice. It looks like she was already afraid of whatever Guang Bo had to confess.

Old Mr. Guang had no idea of where his saw was driving to, but he kept calm and listened just like the other members of the Huang family.

"During the Guang's company Anniversary Dinner, I was a little drunk, and you (Mr. Huang) and my father asked Li to take me to the room reserved under my name, along with another servant…"

Before the Guang Company Anniversary Dinner, Bo and Li had gone on three dates, out of which Li was forced to go, by her father.

During those dates, Li didn't hide her relations.h.i.+p with Mr. Qin from Bo, but Bo, on the other hand, didn't care about it, because he liked Li very much at that time, and wanted to marry her.

Li made her decisions clear that she would never marry him, and that the reason she was willing to come out to see him, was because her father was keeping an eye on Mr. Qin, and she was afraid he would harm him, so she had to be obedient.

Although Li had told her father so many times since he set up the engagement with the Guang family, that she can't marry Guang Bo, she still went on the date he set up for her.

What got Guang Bo drunk on his family's company's Anniversary Dinner?

When Bo and Li were left together at the event, Bo had mentioned to Li if she could consider spending the rest of her life with him, as he promised to make her happy, but Li refused and was insistent on her relations.h.i.+p with Mr. Qin.

Bo was so sad and heartbroken that he forgot where he was and drank more than enough.

When he walked back to the table where his parents and Mr. Huang and Mrs. Huang were sitting and cracked a small joke with them, they knew he was drunk, and asked Li who just arrived at their table to excuse herself from the event because she wanted to secretly meet up with Mr. Qin, to make sure he gets to the room.

"I will be leaving after that." Huang Li said to them, before leading the way as the waiter that was called over, helped Guang Bo and followed after her.

Mr. Guang and Mr. Huang's intention, was for their children to bond, and that was the only reason they asked Li to go along, without knowing that something nerve-wracking was going to happen, which happened to be the one event, occurrence, and situation that changed all their lives.

On getting to Guang Bo's hotel room, Huang Li took out his key card from his pocket and unlocked the door with it, before going in with the waiter who was helping Guang Bo walk.
