But at least they got one thing from him, and that was the fact that they were no longer under any pressure to settle down.

Grandfather has been keeping an eye on the two of them, but he wasn’t closing watching them like intruding into their privacy. He needed to know when to caution them before it was too late.

After the small meeting was over, Jasmine who clung to her father and refused to let go when her Nanny came to take her away, sons he could be put to bed, said to the old man out of the blue, “Great grandfather, I want to have a wedding.”

Some days later, Xiulan’s mother is discharged from the hospital, and she helps her daughter to prepare a mini feast for Fu Ling.

Two days earlier, Fu Ling received the invitation from Xiulan who came personally to let him in on her mother’s intentions.

”The daily lunch is enough, why is she troubling herself?” Fu Ling asked. The everyday lunch was enough for him to receive her thanks, so he didn’t know why she wanted to go through all that trouble again.

”That’s who my mother is,” Xiulan replied.

Fu Ling was silent for a while before saying, “Tell her that after this, I will no longer accept anything from her.”
