”Sweetheart?” Fu Hua called out as he quickly followed behind her with a look of worry on his face.

Today was the weekend, and they were still in bed chatting lovingly when she suddenly covered her mouth and got off the bed.

Following her to the bathroom where he saw her wrenching her guts out, he sighed. He had to bend his back so he can pat her back.

”Did your morning sickness decide to come around this time?” He asked as he continued hitting her back gently.

Because she was throwing up, Jia Li couldn’t reply to him. It was after she finished, rinsed her mouth, and picked up her toothbrush that she replied.

”It came without a warning.”

Fu Hua gazed at her and his frown deepened after he noticed her terrible she looked. “Are you sure we don’t need to go to the hospital?”

”Because of this?” Jia Li asked while gesturing to her face. “Forget it. It’s going to be a long day today, so can you please help me get some meds from the hospital or pharmacy?”

Jia Li knew the right medicine to take that will help her morning sickness, and instead of going to the hospital, it would be more responsible to get the drugs.

”Okay, I will get the drugs for you,” Fu Hua replied and joined her to brush his teeth. Without having his bath, he took his car key and left for the pharmacy.

It was still early, but Jia Li wanted him to at least take his bath first, but he didn’t want to. He said that she was his concern right now and that he would only feel better if she was better.

What more could Jia Li say. She let her doting husband leave the house without taking his bath and partaking in his usual morning exercise.

Fu Hua was very quick. Within 20 minutes that id left the house, he returned with the drugs his wife requested for.

”Don’t you need to est first before taking the drugs?” Fu Hua asked as he handed Jia Li a gla.s.s of water.

Jia Li glances at him and said with a smile, “Trust me, this doesn’t need me to take food first.” Only then did Fu Hua relax and watched her take the drugs.

”When I have eaten, I will take the ones the doctor prescribed. I think that very soon, it will become difficult to kiss me.” Jia Li said with a frown as she put the empty gla.s.s down.

”Why do you say so?” Fu Hua asked with a small smile. He really wanted to know what his wife was thinking.

Jia Li pointed at all the drugs surrounding her and said, “Look at the number of different drugs that are surrounding me. I have to take some of them in the morning, some at noon, and rest at night. There is no break at all. What do you think will happen after taking all these drugs?”

Fu Hua chuckled heartily and pinched her cheeks. He really couldn’t stop himself from laughing at her, plus the fact that she looked so cute while complaining.

”Is it not being kissed your problem now?” Fu Hua asked, “No matter what you taste or smell like, I won’t stop kissing you.” And Just like that, he leaned in to capture her lips with his mouth and gave her a fierce kiss.

Jia Li had wanted to avoid him in time, but it was too late as he was faster than her.

When they broke away from the kiss, Fu Hua wiped her hips and said, “See, it’s still fine to kiss you.”

”You really do not know that I am very hungry, and you just had to rob me of some breath that is sustaining me.” Jia Li said with a frown.

One of the signs of pregnancy is increased appet.i.te, and coupled with the fact that she just threw up this morning, it wasn’t a surprise that she was already very hungry.

”Don’t worry, Mother is bringing a bowl of soup for you.” Fu Hua a.s.sured her with a smile.

Jia Li jumped off the bed and said with a widened smile, “Are you serious? Mum is bringing me a bowl of soup? How do you know that?”

”I met her when I was leaving to get the drugs for you. She said something about going to check the bone broth soup she was preparing for you.” Fu Hua replied.

Jia Li couldn’t help jumping up excitedly. Fu Hua had to remind her about saving her strength. “I won’t feed if you become too weak to do that yourself.”

”Stingy man!” Jia Li said as she went back to sit on the bed. Just then, Fu Hee knocked and opened the door.

From the door, she was already smiling warmly at Jia Li. Making her way towards Jia Li, a servant pushed the food trolley behind her and went to serve the food on the table, along with a bowl of rice and two side dishes.

”Mum, you didn’t have to do this.” Jia Li said as she moved her gaze from the table back to Fu Hee who was holding her hands.

Fu Hua said she was preparing soup for her, and she was already thankful enough that she got to put something in her stomach before it would be time to serve the main breakfast. But right now, she felt more than grateful for the soup and extra dishes.

Jia Li hugged her mother-in-law and thanked her. “Mum, thank you!”

”This silly girl, what are you thanking me for? This is my duty to look out for you as your mother-in-law, and the Mistress of this family.” Fu Hee said with a smile she hugged her back.

Fu Hua who was standing at the side said, “Mother, just let her thank you! She complained that she was hungry after throwing up, so I told her you were boiling soup for her, and she became very excited.”

”Then I really have to think about you properly. There will be healthy midnight snacks from now onwards, and a special breakfast before the normal one with family.” Fu Hee said with her gaze on Jia Li.
