"Are you sure she is already asleep?" Emmelyn asked Mars with a low voice after they left Harlow's chamber. The man nodded. Emmelyn let out a relieved sigh. She didn't expect Harlow to sleep so easily after dinner.

She thought, maybe Harlow was too tired after chasing rabbits and squirrels today that she immediately fell asleep after they placed her in the crib.

Ahh... this was so good. Perfect timing!

"I know when she is really fast asleep," Mars said. "She must be tired today. Now, we should go to our own chamber and rest too."

He clasped his left hand with Emmelyn's right hand and pulled her to walk toward the chamber beside Harlow's chamber. They found the royal butler was waiting for them at the door.

"Good evening, Your Grace. Your chamber is ready. We have brought all your stuff here and we also prepare hot bathwater so you could wash up before sleeping." Horatio bowed down deeply and motioned his hand to welcome them.

Mars and Emmelyn exchanged glances. Taking a hot bath after spending a lot of time outdoors sounded like a really relaxing way to end their day. Both were feeling excited.

They stepped forward to follow the butler. Horatio continued his words. "I hope you will like this chamber and can rest well here. If you have anything you need, just let me know. I will a.s.sign a servant to this quarter. You can just call them to ask for anything. They will be outside."

"Thank you, Horatio. You are so helpful," Emmelyn said with a smile. "I don't think we'll need anything else. Just a good night rest at this point."

"Very well, Your Grace. I will leave you two so you can rest. I'll see you tomorrow morning, then. Have a nice rest. Good night."

Horatio bowed down again and took his leave. Mars was so excited about being left alone with his dearly beloved wife that he immediately swept her off her feet and carried her in his arms horizontally.

"Aahhh..." Emmelyn spontaneously hit his arm. She pouted and glared at him. "Gosh.. what are you doing? You startled me."

"It's okay, right? I already know you don't have a heart condition," Mars said with a chuckle.

His words made Emmelyn chuckle too. She remembered when they started being intimate - she agreed to sleep with him so she could bear him children.

She was so uptight and she once hit him out of impulse because he startled her. Now, looking back, Emmelyn found those moments funny and she could think of them fondly.

Their relations.h.i.+p didn't start in a conventional way and their situation now couldn't be further than when they started. It was like h.e.l.l which turned into heaven.

Mars and Emmelyn started off as enemies, and now they were the best of lovers. Initially, she only had one purpose in life: to kill him.

Now, she just wanted to grow old with this man and build a family together.

Truly, life could be really unpredictable.

Mars closed the door behind them with one hand and then walked deeper into their new chamber.

It was the same size as the previous chamber where Emmelyn was staying before, but this chamber had its own bathtub, now filled with hot water mixed with a little bit of scented herbs.

A calming aromatherapy scent wafted in the air and filled their nostrils. Both unconsciously closed their eyes and and took a deep breath to take in the aroma.

"Wow... this is really above and beyond. I love this chamber," Emmelyn whispered. "Horatio is the best."

Mars nodded and slowly placed his wife down on the big bed. He agreed with Emmelyn that Horatio seemed to read their minds about wanting some quality time with each other to vent their longing after being separated for so long.

The royal butler didn't need any instructions nor hints. He immediately prepared what he thought would be appreciated by the royal guests.

And he was not wrong there. Not at all. This was exactly what Mars and Emmelyn needed.

"I wish our butler is so professional like Horatio," Emmelyn commented. "Maxim is so lucky. We, not so much. The butler we employed was a treacherous sc.u.m. Ugh."

"Hey, hey... no need to remember that trash," Mars said to coax his wife. He didn't want her to talk about Roshan now that the traitor was dead. He was also disgusted when he thought about that old man and didn't wish to remember him and everything he did to their family.

Mars added, "Now that we have moved to the royal palace, we have John to help us. He is quite reliable too. He is much older than Horatio and might need some ideas, but I think, with a proper direction, he would know what we want."

"And... what is it that we want, by the way?" Emmelyn looked at Mars with a playful glint. She touched his collar with both hands and tugged it closer to her. Now, their lips were only inches away from each other.

"Well.. I know that I want you..." Mars smiled sweetly. "And you want me."

He grabbed the back of her head and tilted his head to kiss her.

"Aahh..." Emmelyn's hands dropped to the sides when she tasted his sweet kiss on her lips. Her body became weak and she felt overwhelmed by so much love for this man.

"I love you..." Mars pressed on her body to lie down on the bed and kissed her more pa.s.sionately. "And I miss you..."

He bent down on top of her and started to take her clothes one by one, while whispering every single reason he loved her, followed by kisses here and there.

"I love you because you are smart..."

"I love you because you are kind..."

"I love you for being so amazing..."

"I love you because I can't see my life without you..."

"I love you because you are the most beautiful woman I have ever met in my life..."

"I love you because you are the mother of my children..."

"I love you because you are so hot and the only one who can turn me on..."

Emmelyn started moaning and gripped her nails on his arms. She almost pressed her lips to cover her moan but Mars whispered to her that it was okay to express herself during pleasure because tonight they were in their private s.p.a.ce.

Harlow was sleeping in another chamber. So, they didn't need to tone things down.

"I want to hear your voice calling my name again," Mars whispered with his husky voice.

He brushed her ear with his lips as he spoke, and then he went to lick her earlobe. Emmelyn squirmed and let out a long moan.

The man grinned happily and continued his work. "If you like what I do, call my name... and I will continue."

Every single fiber in Emmelyn's being was aroused as her husband licked and bit her earlobe seductively. Then he continued tracing her skin with his tongue down to her collarbone, while his hands were expertly removing the last piece of clothing from her body.

Then, as his lips found her left mound and started sucking on her nipple, his right hand went to her fold and inserted one finger.
