"Do you know what happened to Kira?" Emmelyn asked John after they had breakfast that morning and Kira didn't join them.

Initially, Emmelyn thought Kira had already had breakfast before she and Mars woke up since they got up late. Mars really meant what he said last night that he was determined to give Harlow siblings.

So, he and Emmelyn did several rounds of lovemaking until both of them were so tired and fell asleep in their bed, didn't even bother to put on their clothes back, even though the autumn nights were so chilly.

Their lovemaking was oh so satisfying and wholesome. They had been doing it every night and whenever they had a chance, really.

The young king couldn't wait to check on Emmelyn's pregnancy next month. Mr. Vitas already said he wanted to retire next year because he was old now and wanted to enjoy life.

So, Mars wished before the old physician truly retired, he could get the honor to be the person who would confirm Emmelyn's second pregnancy.

It would make Mars and Emmelyn feel so happy. That's why he would work hard to make sure Emmelyn would become pregnant soon. The king couldn't wait to share the journey with her, from the moment she was confirmed pregnant, until the day she gave birth to their next child into this world.

"No, Your Majesty. Unfortunately, I don't know what happened to Miss Kira. I actually haven't seen her leave her chamber," John explained.

"Oh... I thought she already had breakfast before Mars and I came here," Emmelyn said. Her brows furrowed and she thought of what happened to Kira that she still didn't leave her chamber.

"No. She hasn't had breakfast, I am sure of that," John replied.

Emmelyn and Mars exchanged glances. The king asked Emmelyn out of curiosity. "Maybe she is having a severe hangover. You know her better than I do. Have you seen her get drunk? Do you think she is sleeping in because of the hangover?"

"Uhm... now that you mention it..." Emmelyn rubbed her chin. "No, I have never seen her drunk before. She could hold her liquor, better than I do, in fact."

She added, "But who knows? People change. Maybe she was feeling overwhelmed by so many people that she didn't know at the feast. I could see her looking nervous last night. Also, maybe the wine was different from the wine she was used to drinking and that got her drunk? Who knows."

"Maybe we should send John to check up on her," Mars suggested. "If she is really having a bad hangover, she would appreciate us checking up on her. I can ask John to prepare hangover soup for her. So, she would feel better."

Emmelyn nodded. "Ahh.. you are right. Let's do that."

Mars waved at John and told the royal butler to go to Kira's chamber and check her condition. He a.s.sumed Gewen had left her alone when he took her to her chamber last night. So, it would be good to have John go there and check.

Mars actually almost thought that Gewen and Kira were entangled with each other last night and spent all night having s.e.x. But after he thought of it again, he realized Gewen was now a changed man.

He looked terrified at the mention of having one-night stands during their journey together. This was enough to make Mars believe that his best friend was truly a changed man now.

Besides, if Gewen and Kira did have s.e.x, the former womanizer would already be here at the dining table and boasted his new conquest. Since he didn't do such a thing, Mars tend to think Gewen and Kira were still as hopeless as before, when it came to relations.h.i.+p.

Mars and Emmelyn continued eating their breakfast over light chat. They planned to see Ellena in her prison and decided her punishment. It was something that Mars would let Emmelyn decide one hundred percent.

Since Ellena had wronged Emmelyn, he thought Emmelyn was the only person who deserved to decide on what kind of punishment would be handed out to Ellena.

If it was up to him, Mars would lock her up in the dungeon until the day she died. So, Ellena could regret her crime every day for the rest of her life.

"Your Majesty..."

John's voice moved the couple from their chat. They turned toward the royal butler who was standing beside Mars. His face flushed red.

"Yes, John?" Mars raised a brow, trying to guess what made John look this way. His face was red because he looked... embarra.s.sed?

"Uhm... I have checked on Miss Kira to her chamber," John said with a low voice.

"Yes? So, is she okay?" Mars asked John again. "Will she come for breakfast?"

The word 'breakfast' made John wince. He still remembered vividly from outside the chamber how Lord Gewen Athibaud said Kira was his breakfast this morning. His words were then followed by a really long and s.e.xy moan from Kira.

"Oh... you are so s.e.xy..." Gewen's voice was heard from inside Kira's chamber. He spoke between his panting breath. "I have been fantasizing this for months. You are a bad girl! You need to be punished... Ahh... ah... I will eat you for breakfast...! Oh... you have such beautiful p.u.s.s.y... Ahh... it tastes amazing...!"

John stood rooted in his spot, in front of the door, with his hand ready to knock, and he suddenly didn't know what to do.

After he regained his composure, John dashed from there and quickly returned to the dining room and gave the king his report.

"B-breakfast?" Suddenly John's mind went back to his head. He looked at the king with bulged eyes. "No... Miss Kira is the breakfast."

"Huh?" Emmelyn and Mars were surprised. They both looked at each other and tried to decipher John's cryptic words and his strange body language.

"Do you think..." Emmelyn cleared her throat. "They are... uhm... having..."

Mars bobbed his head and took his cup from the table. He downed his tea in one go and he almost choked.

"Yeah.. they are having breakfast," he said.. Then he hiccuped.
